I sighted in my new setup yesterday and have the left/right gang adjustment maxed out far left. I feel like this probably compensating for another issue. Any ideas what that might be? If it matters the sight is a Black Gold Ascent Verdict. The bow was setup at a pro shop.
Thank you for any help you can offer.

I had something similar on a Mathews V3 which turned out to be a Top Hat adjustment which are spacers on both axles. Simple fix at the bow shop. Good luck

Casey:

What bow is this sight on? What # and arrow spine/details of the arrow build?

When the pro shop set it up did they or you shoot it through paper?

Measure the centershot of your rest (horizontal distance from center of rest fork/cradle to inside of riser) and adjust it to 13/16” if it’s not already there. Then take a few shots through paper to see how your arrow is coming out of the bow. If you see a horizontal tear through paper, adjust the cams (bow press required) to correct the tear.

I would suspect that you have a nock right tear that’s forcing you to shift your sight to the left to compensate. If that’s the case, correcting the tear should allow you to move your sight closer to the center of its adjustment range.

Looks like a Mathews. If it is and it’s being run in a bridgelock configuration your sight isn’t set up properly. That’s the first thing I see. I would also bet your center shot and tune are both off. No reason to be that far left in a BG sight on any Mathews if it’s set up correctly.

It’s an Elite Omnia that I bought last year. Just now getting around to getting it dialed in. It’s #73 lbs, I’m shooting 29”, Easton Axis 300s. Sounds like it has an issue that is beyond my depth of knowledge which is very little.

I’m gonna swing by the pro shop next week and have it checked for centershot and have it paper tuned. Thanks for confirming my suspicion that something is systematically off with the bow. I’ll check back in with the problem and fix.

Black gold offers a windage bar that longer to accommodate certain bows that require it due to its setup. Give them a call and they will get one to you.

I’ve had to get the longer windage bar for some of my bows in the past. Still worth looking into the setup including your grip but I wouldn’t insist something is wrong if the bow checks out.

Not sure what Elite has on that bow but I started decreasing cable guard tension on the cables and will drop that toward the arrow until I have comfortable fletching clearance of the cables. That brings center shot toward the riser. Elite might do this in the cams now or have an Allen on a flexible guard like Prime and others.

Is the arrow hitting to the left or right of where you are aiming?
