Zeiss goes woke???

Yet you say "classy hunters". Classy hunters kill shit... and post pictures. Not so fast! Says Zeiss,we can't let people actually see that our hunting optics are actually used for killing animals. Oh the irony.

Not what they are saying. Flip through any hunting magazine and you can see this currently taking place with great ads with no grip and grins, but may still have dead animals in a less trophy context, or even no animals.

Media contracts are becoming more and more prevalent. Not such a bad thing in a few cases.

Being a worldwide multi -division brand has its down falls, this is one of them. I don’t agree or disagree but can see the why

Nothing like hunters acting woke in response to wokeness.
How long until they don’t allow their “pro-staffers” to no longer promote kill pictures because it “offends” someone. This is the problem with wokeness and cancel culture. There’s no line and it never stops.

I hate the woke crap as much as the next guy, but this doesn't qualify to me, sorry. A company choosing to keep a particular brand image isn't a big deal. So they're supposed to embrace every facet of hunting and guns into their marketing? All or nothing? Those Germans need to get on the red blooded Merica train, I want to see some dead hogs!

Maybe we should stop buying optics that are made in Japan and China, countries where gun ownership is illegal. But then we couldn't buy Vortex, Nikon, Bushnell, and 90% of the rest of the optics on the market.

Guess I should have read it a little better. What a shame. Blows my mind any pro-staffer that hunts will continue to stay with them. What ever happened to integrity and leadership. That’s exactly what this country is missing.

Exactly right. It’s funny reading some of these responses. I guess they’re ok with products manufactured with child labor and human rights violations.

The irony is thick here on Rokslide.

No youth with guns…. That’s odd… you’d think they care about the future of the sport that utilizes their optics and their future customer base. Maybe they should just market to the bird watching crowd. Oh wait… pretty soon the woke crowd will say that’s an invasion of the birds privacy. Geez what a world we are living in.

You totally missed the satire in my post.

Nikon has already quit making scopes awhile ago.

Yet you want to support a "classy" company such as Zeiss that is only a couple of generations away from building optics for the Nazis? Guess as long as they don't show dead animals we can just forget about who they've supported in the past.

Prostaff = marketing. Most companies in aware of have marketing, social media and image expectations or standards. Zeiss, especially a multinational based in Europe, doesn't surprise me at all.

It's the golden rule... He who has the gold, makes the rules...and yes, that goes for consumers voting with their wallets.

Chinese Children manufacture vortex scopes? Now I understand their qc issues

I’ll go get my optics from Japan then? Same story if we’re going back in time. That’s where all the other good optics come from. The next option is China and we know what a good humans rights record they have.

Leupold is about the best we can do if we’re gonna have this conversation and most of my scopes are theirs, except for one Zeiss. Some USA assembled Maven would be another limited option.

How many innocent people were murdered with progressive Zeiss optics? Maybe a NAZI sniper posing with a dead American paratrooper from Iowa would fit their woke campaign?

Gotta love the Germans!
