Your hunt setup

Guess it will between my Heartland customs recurve and the longbow by friend is making me. Both about #50@30".

I've been shooting easton axis 340s, full length about 550-625 grains with 200-275 grains up front. I ordered some 400s, to see if they will tune a little better, but hoping I can keep them full length and still have some FOC.

I'll be using one or two of these, depending if I elk hunt or not. I have a Stalker Coyote ACS longbow (47 @ 28") that is shooting really well. I'll most likely use this one for muledeer and pronghorn.

I'm also working on a Satori with DAS 3k limbs, (53 @ 28"). The third bow, I'm switching a W&W blackwolf for a Stalker Stickbow ILF riser using Tradtech limbs (50@ 28"). One of these will be for elk.

and I have this one. Yesterday I brought this bow out of semi retirement.

I was dealing with some form issues that is related to TP and this bow is close to my upper weight limit. So this bow sat for about a year and a half. Anyway I feel pretty comfortable with this now and it back in the lineup.

Bow is a Robertson PS 54# Arrows for now are Axis Trad 500 27 7/8” with 275 up front. Bare shaft and BHs grouping good at 30 yards.

This year I'll be hunting and 3d shooting with my 19" hoyt Satori with Uukha Selenga limbs. Shooting it off the shelf with Day Six 400's and Day Six 150 grain Evo X's. Bow is about 50 pounds on the fingers although I have not scaled it. Arrows are right around 520 grains.

No fun kill pics since I set up this bow after the season last year, but I'll put up this "trophy" pic from a few weeks ago.

Still figuring it out. Hunted last season with my Poison Dart 62" 47@28" LB, but got a new ILF setup JCA Optimus2.0 21" with 45# selengas, super quite and dead in hand, but just wasn't shooting it well, and a friend had a MI A&H 62" 50@28" ACS CX LB for sale. I really like this bow and tuning is coming along. hope to run Victory vap tko with 50 gn inoutsert, and 200 gn cutthroats, 4 x 2.25 shield cut wild turkey feathers around 574 gn total arrow weight, about 20% FOC.
Well, my choices have been swayed by an unfortunate situation. My upper limb buckled on my A&H ACS CX longbow. So I switched back to my Poison Dart; two peice 62" 48@28 Drawing right around 28 with GT 400 kinetic peirce with 45-75 gn ethics and 150-200 gn Cutthroats 480-520 gn total arrow weight 18-22% foc. still tuning, ordered som Easton axis 5mm to try tuning with lower foc (16-18%) while maintaining taw in the 10-12 gpp range.

Also, I went back to shooting 3 feathers instead of four. Two yellow, one white 3.25” Ozark feathers. I shoot with the off color up and two down.

Southwest Archery Tigershark 64", 49 @ 29.5", Easton Carbon Legacy .400, 150gr VPA 3 blade.

I took my 51lb thunderchild to the bear woods. No bears were harmed. I’m still debating for the fall. Most likely I’ll go back to “ole trusty” my stalker

Dang it….my preferred limbs developed a crack in the bottom limb a couple months ago…so I went to plan B, Nika limbs on a Bucktrails riser that has been shooting great…until this afternoon I could Feel the riser separating on a glue joint under my hand at FD.

On to plan C…..

I really like the way it feels and shoots. I could feel a crack opening up under my hand at FD on that outer white line. A bad Glue joint?
.

Man that stinks. There is plenty of time to get it replaced and get ready for September.

Yes that’s a bad glue joint it happens in some laminating processes. Any chance it see are t in your pickup and got warm. It doesn’t take much sometimes.

That's how my first ever bow met its demise. Didn't even take all that long. Came out of the store and it had folded up on itself
