So I've got some bad luck. I'm almost a year in on getting a new bow. I paid in full for a custom recurve last April and was told it was going to be 4 months out. Long story short in October when I still didn't have it I was told it was going to be another month or two. I canceled my order and placed one for a longbow from a guy that was only weeks out. Obviously that came in the middle of hunting season and the cold so I didn't really take a good look at it. Well that came in 5 pounds light and 3/4 of an inch out of tiller. I think this guy will take care of me but at this point I don't want to wait for a bow. I'm looking for suggestions on someone who has stock bows from 60 to 64", 53-60 pounds, cut to center and has a grip without a lot of palm swelling. I'm now open to an ILF setup as well. I'm looking at a satori but I need some advice for the best available hunting limbs with no budget.

If you want wood ILF get a Peak 2 Peak riser from RMS Gear. They are made by South Cox. Should have them readily available. For limbs, many like the Uukas, me included. They make them from mid level to top of the line.

I shoot a Satori riser with Uukas. Great set up but I did change the grip.

That stinks. I had something like that happen several years ago. A lot of guys on here know a lot more about the ILF rigs than I do, and seem to do really well with them.

Since I’m not an ILF guy, if it were me I’d look for a used black widow.

How do the high end uukas compare with the high end trad techs in your opinion?

Looks like they have one in stock with my specs.... probably what I should have done all along

South Cox usually has a bunch of stock bows.
South makes some great bows. But given dan33's request for no palm swell I would caution against his standard grips. South will make a Tom Clum grip on his risers and i would reccomend that for Dan33. It's much skinner and flatter with way less palm swell. It's what the Peak 2 Peak riser has.

Hurst has a lot of variety in stock depending on if you want a recurve or a longbow. Robertson also has a bunch in stock right now and has a few with little to no palm swell in the design.

Used longbows everywhere....so many choices at good prices.

You say ILF, do you mean with longbow limbs? I have a set of Dryad LB limbs. I love the ILF system with recurve limbs....not so much with LB limbs. Before I did that, I would just get a 2 piece LB.

Trad Tech vs Uukha; The TT's are equal to a cheap name brand limb....the Uukhas are best in class.

If you have the money I’d buy a decent ILF rig and then wait for your custom Longbow guy to make it right with you. Then you can either sell the ILF setup or just have two bows.

If you don’t have the money for that, I think ILF is the way to go if you can only have one bow

Throw some Three Rivers Archery 3K carbon/bamboo limbs on a Satori riser and you will be set. You can save a couple hundred $ and order a Satori riser copy, but it'll likely take you three weeks to receive it.

Smooth, quiet and fast.

I am using a 19" riser with long limbs for a 64" bow... but I have a 31.5" draw. Zero stacking and could go at least another inch with no stack.

Black Widow has quite a few "ready to ship" bows right now. Look under "in stock bows".
I have had/have about a half dozen Widows and have enjoyed every one of them.

I believe Stalker also has some in stock bows ready.
