your good (or not so good) customer service interactions of late

Aero precision. Made an order for an AR build on black Friday. All parts in stock. Said shipping was 5-7 business days. Still waiting on my muzzle brake, and it took over a month before the first part arrived.

Made several phone calls only to wait on hold, hung up on, call back immediately to go straight to a voicemail saying they aren't available. Sent emails and Facebook messenger messages with zero response on anything.

I wouldn't spend another penny on anything from them.

I have one in the good column. Ultradyne is fantastic. They are super communicative. Offered a military discount, shipping was free and fast. They are great!

I've ordered three different firearms from them over the course of three years—all positive. My last order I placed (online) where I had to choose my FFL— on 2/24. The next day I got shipping confirmation, on 2/28 I got a notice that it had arrived at my FFL.

Tough to beat that and the price was good. You're able to get an email notification when the price of what you're looking for reaches that point, pretty handy.

A good one for Wiser Precision, ordered a BA-7 Sparrow, when I was putting it on my binos I snapped the strap and was frustrated with myself for being dumb and breaking the strap. Thought why not contact customer service, I did, I sent them pictures and wasn’t trying to hide anything, hoping I could get another for cost of shipping in best case scenario, worst case I’d just have to buy a replacement strap since it was my fault on why it broke. They responded very quickly and sent me out another strap free of charge, I was very impressed!
 
Not hunting but I ordered the only replacement Cross cylinder head in 4” dia.with 1.5” bore that I could find on the net. Ordered theougj Amazon from Farmer Bob’s in TN. FedEx delivered and the box was opened and no part.

Talked to Amazon and a rep from Bob’s within 15 min of delivery and said I will have a replacement in a week or 2.

Amazon said it’s more of a problem when a third party delivers.

I’m wondering if anyone has requested faster shipping for a fee? It seems to be a common issue with SC.

I think there are some serious issues with USPS. Not sure if it is the DOGE layoffs or just normal lack of resources. I took two packages to the post office last Monday and they still haven't moved from there in a week.
 
Had a great interaction with the Kuiu team on some pants. Two pairs both had similar issues after a few months of use. Sent photos and they sent out replacements after some inventory issues. Great communication throughout and I was never left wondering what the next move was.

This is really true. I have my mail sent from Nebraska down to the gulf coast where I winter. The postmaster simply puts in an envelope and mails it to me. The last two envelope took six weeks which seems a long time to come from Nebraska to Texas. Last year it only took 7 to 10 days not perfect but this year is ridiculous.
 
Multiple good service experiences with Exo Mtn.

Most recently, I returned my well worn and used K2 belt for a broken tension adjuster.

They called me up and said they could repair mine, or send me an upgraded version to replace it. Either way it was covered under their unconditional guarantee and no charge.

2 negative episodes w home depot lately.

They wouldnt help us cut a 16 ft piece of metal roofing and were real rude about it. Dad is 85. We bent it in half ( to fit in truck bed) using lumber in store and took care of it at home w pair of snips.



Then today, HD wouldnt sell me 10 hurricane impact windows and 2 entry doors over them being purchased for construction in another state in an engineered steel bld - who is your architect was one question.

What gets me is that we could buy everything off the shelf behind him and walk out with it today but wife wants special sizes on 2 windows.

The building manufacturer engineers and certifies bld and suggested we get impact hurricane windows since that was important to us. They will put them in when constructing the building. But HD wants me to get an architect to design bld so they’ll sell windows. Pffft.
