There is a very stark difference between all those you mention and Wyoming. A simple look at how the marketing was conducted will show the differences. Wyoming made some mistakes early that may cost them. You know this but I believe you are doing your best to discourage anyone who may try.
I'm not discouraging anyone from due process. If they feel they have a case, make it.

I'm saying you'll lose, and lose big.

Nobody was decieved... wyoming publishes the draw odds, tag numbers, and even point totals per applicant pool.

It's not their job to do the rest of the math.

Nobody has lost a point or had their points taken. These are the facts, and the only that matter.
Like a true politican, sway half the facts as the complete picture of what happened and talk down to everyone not in agreement, derail and ignore what doesn’t fit your narrative or downplay it as 3rd grade math.

So If I am thinking about this correctly, there will only be 6 units that offer a non res moose tag? Of those units only 2 will offer multiple?

If that is the case unless you have 21 or more points as of right now (before 2022 bonus point) your screwed. Sitting with 20 points I am super bummed to say the least!

Also any way to find the actual numbers of people in your point poll? On the odds page it shows up until 0% chance and then just shows less then……. I would need to know how many have 20 to know if it’s even worth continuing or if I just kissed a bunch of $ and 20 years away

As an 18 moose point holder, I'm inclined to no longer agree with this. Bait & switch advertising.......
There is only 1400 people ahead of you lol. No big deal to double the time it takes to go through those applicants. I'm a bit below you and feel for you man. Sad thing is I bet you won't be able to draw a cow tag with those points.

90/10 will be applied to the total number of permits- not area by area. Some areas will have a tag on one year and then not again for a while.

So with 36 tags it’ll take him roughly 14 more years and a hope/prayer they aren’t reduced further in that time. Which we know there will be a push for 100% of big 5 to residents coming in the future.

It’s truthfully laughable if anyone not in the top 200 continues to donate to WY until they make it purely random. Those invested in it currently not in the top 200 are screwed either way.

That will all change when preference points are converted to squared bonus points...which is going to be a recommendation from the task force is my bet.

But hey, what do I know?

Yes the data has been published for at least 10 years on the gf website, probably longer.

Before you toss your points realize they will likely convert to bonus points...just sayin'....

I’m sure you know a lot about what is going into the task forces ears and pushing for direction with them.

And by doing so the odds of a high point holder will be reduced even further. By hey, they will have a roughly 1 in 8000 chance to draw that moose permit...smh.

And they’ll probably charge $300 to get an op to put their name in the hat annually 😆 continuing their donation status.

And somehow task force members extended family in NY will draw their first attempt at it 🤣 or instafluencers.

Then go hunt moose in Alaska or Canada, buy a tag in Utah, or apply elsewhere.

Wyoming does not have the moose hunting market cornered...use your options.

Nobody forces anyone to apply for tags, that is, and always has been a choice.

You do realize it was guys from MO that are being hit with the lawsuit, not residents, right?

Thanks - I thought they were locals - didn't look too far into it cause it's a ticket for intentionally pushing the limits. When yer a NR, you don't play games with the laws.

Here's my experience w corner crossing - went to WY antelope hunting in overcrowded Unit 1, GW said don't corner cross, it's illegal and he would ticket me/us. Also looked on the WY G&F hunting maps and they say that unless a public road touches the property stay off, and not to corner cross.

Enter Buzz and a handful of other guys who provided a memo from some GW or commissioner dude from X years ago, it says you can corner cross. Trust us. Have fun. I had the memo and still decided against testing the limits.

Those MO guys evidently didn't talk to the GW and didn't read the regulations and didn't have the memo.

I am interested in seeing how the case turns out but in the pretty near future, the only folks who will truly benefit will be the 90% locals and the 5% DIY NR who can get a tag that's not claimed by land owners and outfitters. So it really is a non-issue for the NR.

Clarification - It's only that way in states where hunting is worth traveling for. When I see the odd NR hunting in MN i just assume he grew up here or is visiting friends, doesn't bother me a lick. Sure didn't come here for the good hunting.

I used to curse MN plates in ND waterfowl hunting though and I was one..
I don't know where your hunting in MN. but the public land I've frequented has 25 ND trucks to every MN truck because it's difficult to draw a buck tag in ND and they can come to MN & pay $185 for an OTC buck tag
