Missed the initial draw, are there usually cow tags on the leftover list? Buddy and I want to make a meat trip this year.

From what I understand, most of the leftover tags are areas with limited access and lots of private land. I live in the Western part of the state and don't know of any areas with leftovers.

I think the list shows what areas have leftovers and they sometimes add more depending. If I remember correctly 53 might have some. I'm doing 54 for cows.

They won't post the list until after the draw which is supposed to be on Friday. Normally there's not a lot on it. And I have heard a couple of podcasts about cow hunting from some of the internet stars so I wouldn't be too optimistic

the leftover list hasn’t been release due to the resident draw being available the 18th, the list comes out the 20th and the application period is 22-27. Also all this is available information they put on there site, pretty easy to find.

LEFTOVER LICENSE DRAW - Any leftover licenses from the initial draw will be distributed through a leftover draw. The list of leftover licenses will be available below, on June 20. The application period will be five days, June 22-26, 2020.

Tentative Leftover draw results will be available on July 9.

Yea I've seen that. Just wondering about general insights into the typical numbers of a available leftover cow tags

Everything could be totally different this year with the draw than we’ve seen in the past. We’ll all find out come Thursday and Saturday.

I already drew my WY tag for this year but was curious how the Gen tag is treated in the leftover draw. Are there any Gen tags typically available in the leftover draw? I always figured the leftovers were unit specific and didnt know how the gen (for NR obviously) was treated.

There are no leftover general elk tags. They’re treated the same as a limited quota tag that requires the same 2-3 points to draw. If people with less than 2 pts can’t draw them initially, there aren’t any left for the leftover draw.

I drew an antelope license for area 102. Area 36 for elk is the same area, it has cow tags available in the leftover draw, 36-6.
Anybody have experiance in this area. Would the harvest chances be worth investing $300?
