And each as useful as the next:ROFLMAO:

You don't know what's on the dark side of the moon, unless you go there. No amount of speculation is accurate or useful.
I beg to differ ... regarding speculation, there are only a couple of likely manufacturers, and a handful of likely retail brands, if collaboration is the model. Thinking this through gives us some indications on how this might turn out.

Regarding useful, some people's speculations based on existing models have shown important points of departure. This helps in both thinking through challenges and potential compromises of the project, as well as helps create more realistic expectations.

Can we start the guessing game for manufacturer?

I'm assuming with all of the new brands of scopes around then perhaps it's become easier to place an order with an OEM than we thought. However, the likely choice here would be LOW, and we've heard they're a tough nut to crack, so maybe not. Unless the bar was something lower than we expected, but highly likely to sell - let's say 1000 units.

On the other hand, if the guys had to go through an existing brand, I'm going to make a wild outside guess ... and go with GSO. Just for the fun of it.

What's everyone else's guess?
Wildcard; I'll bet Huskemaw. Jared Miller has been receptive on here to feedback and seems like a dude that would appreciate this feature set. Their company seems small/agile enough to maybe make it happen? I very well could be entirely wrong!

Nice one ... hadn't head their name in a while, but then a quick search here showed this from 20 August 2024:

First, we have a new line of scopes in the works, one of which is a sub 20 oz bomber hunting scope. Stay tuned for that.

...

Concerning the drop test. I'd still be happy to meet up with Ryan and/or Form to test them but it'll likely have to happen after hunting season at this point as I start chasing antelope next Thursday and I'm guessing we all have hunts lined up pretty solid through November.

And, while other scope manufacturers have been happy for their scopes to have been tested, I'm not sure if we've heard of one who was also happy to meet up to have this done ...

If you're right, @bombhunter, I'll give you a virtual chocolate fish.

Most if not all of the Huskemaw scopes are made by LOW with their requirements.

Why would they go through Huskemaw to go through LOW when they could feasibly go through LOW with their own set of Reqs?

Food for thought.

I am no expert. But sometimes volume and a current production line gets you a seat at the table. No idea if that’s applicable with LOW or not.

I am keeping track of this entire saga. It’s better than a Tele Novella. The speculation and theories are priceless. Thank you guys for writing the story.

Yep. I think there'd be a general consensus that LOW would be the best option (having produced SWFA SS, Nightforce, Bushnell LRTS/LRHS, Maven RS1.2, and Trijicon Tenmile, which have all pass the drop eval).

But some have posted here in the past that LOW won't deal with new clients directly, and you'd need to go through an existing client. That's never quite made sense to me, given the plethora of new scope brands on the market in the last few years, but maybe most of those are going to other OEMs.

If this is in fact true, please for the love of god @Ryan Avery don’t name it the RokScope or Formie’s First Focal Plane or some shit. But, also name it whatever you’d like because I’ll buy 2-3.
