Buzz, I saw that. One bit of caution, these charges were dropped "without prejudice" meaning that crazy bitch-ho prosecutor could recharge at a later date. Personally, I believe it's a deflection on the malicious re-ticketing of the hunters in front of the entire jury pool last week. This was a clear and blatant ethics violation and Mr. Mayfield is going to find herself in hot water. Wonder if Fred Eshelman will bail her vicious azz out for this one?

Why don't the 90/10 guys hop on this too? WY seems open to changing some regulations, why not see if they can be pressed into making a formal statement about corner hopping. Gonna need to be someone high enough on the food chain that it won't get "erased" by the governor or someone else with more authority. If not, gonna need more folks to keep sacrificing themselves to the courts til the courts start hollering at the attorney general. It did move thru the system pretty quickly.

That's a good question. I believe the answer is the general population is very pro corner crossing, and on the other side there are a lot of law makers that are large land holders or are beholden to large landowners. That is why politicians are not able to get anywhere with this. In a lot of ways wealth and large tract ownership in wyoming. This is a result of ag and mineral resources.

Tresspass laws are outside the scope of the TF when they do not involve game. I know it has come up, but even they are very divided. There are TF members that really want trespassing laws strengthened, and I dont see a problem with that.

The bell weather will be upcoming legislative session. That will really show the cards on just how worried some landowners are. I would not be surprised if a corner crossing bill doesn't come forward, both for and against.
