Would you gamble on a gen 4 Tundra?

Who cares? The OME Dakars are the springs to get, and it's a cheap fix.

I wish my Ford had only a single issue and it was that cheap and simple to address. Instead, I'll wind up paying more money to replace the Ford TPMS sensors than I paid for the new leaf packs I put in my Tacoma. For some reason, Toyota can make TPMS sensors that last over 10 years and are still working, but Ford can only make them to last about 5 years before they stop working and need replacing. This is just one of many similar items.

My new TPMS sensors were like $100 at Discount Tire. I had my doubts but they've worked great.

True...Let's throw 90% of Harley riders in the mix...But to deny that Toyota needs mods right of the lot to do anything but soccer practice is ignoring the idea of a truck.
If I wasn’t so damn cheap id get some aftermarket lights for my truck. 😝

Factory lights suck on dark nights on forest service roads.

Same.
Not sure where the idea that new leaf packs were similar in failure to TPMS sensors.....
A minor issue on Ford costing slightly more than replacing a major component on Toyota, and that same minor item on Toyota never having a problem

The computer screen also went out on the Ford, but that was way more expensive than the OME leaf packs for the Toyota. Maybe it is a better comparison?

My 2006 Tacoma had the TPMS light on every single day and both the dealer and Discount Tire tried to fix it and had no answers so I just drove it that way.
So many issues with the Tacoma that I lost track.

My valley is full of suicidal elk and deer.
I would just go full light bar.
We installed an Amazon 20" bar on my son's Explorer and it's ridiculous how much quality beam it puts out.
Around $100.

I’m more worried about those water bars you see right before you go airborne!

That's because I paved the way by telling them their springs were sh!t, which they arrogantly denied.

You're welcome.

OME's minus the third leaf is what should have been on there to begin with.
Oh for ***** sake, you single handily were the reason for the recall. Then you claimed you weren’t and now your back to claiming you were. For as much as time as you spend in Toyota threads, I would think you would have your story down stat.

I really really want to trust one but I just can’t. Even after they supposedly fixed the engine problems, the 24’s and 25’s are still seizing up. I want to get back into a Tundra but I need to see the old Toyota reliability from them before that will happen.

A computer screen in a truck is just plain gay.

Someone had to say it.
The worst is when they have a glare on them and you can’t read the damn screen to change anything.

I will say, I will never go without my phone connecting to my vehicle again. Being able to get in mid conversation and my pickup just takes over and I can drive is very nice.

I’ve never seen seen someone with so much hate over a truck. I bet he’s a lot of fun at parties.

Honestly there’s so few people I know of with his experience, and then there’s tons of us who only buy Toyotas.

I do admire the dedication he has for his cause.

I don't have phone conversations in the truck.
It's my quiet time...........until I start swearing at some knucklehead parked in the passing lane.
Then it gets loud.

Lol.
I don’t think you are the expert on this subject you think you are but thanks for your passionate support.
If you spent 20 minutes on Tacomaworld, you would see many issues that are pretty widespread but it’s more popular to drink the KoolAid.
North America recalls by a global manufacturer aren’t caused by just one or two examples.
What’s the first rule of a cult?…Never criticize the cult.

Both of my 2nd gen tacos went over 250k with just basic maintence. I don’t get the hate for the rear leafs. One a basic sr5 and the other a pro. Both were amazing trucks just too small with kiddos. I’ve been on Tacomaworld for years, same screen name. Plenty of guys bitch about minor issues but those trucks are about as bulletproof as anything ever made.

Lol.

First rule of being a hater, if the facts aren’t available make shit up to fit your narrative.

I’ve been on Tacomaworld for 7 years to, must’ve missed all the threads you refer too.

Guys that drive pickups with 8-lug wheels, there’s something about Toyota that makes them really insecure and irritable.
I drive an F-350........and I love Toyota's. Like was said earlier......they're all just a tool, and they all have a purpose. That's why I have the F-350, a Tundra, and my '89 Toyota 4x4. They all have strengths and weaknesses. But if I have to admit it, the Tundra is the one that is expendable if I were to get rid of one of them.

The rear leaf packs, the rust issue, and the 3.0L are the only bad marks on Toyota'a resume, and you have to go back decades to get to those.
IMO my '89 3.0L 4x4 xtracab is one of the best vehicles ever made. I STILL love that pickup, and it still does whatever I want it to do.......and is still all stock.

Lol.

Expert on what?
Tacoma's? Nope, I am not. Never have claimed to be one.
Expert on your story changing? Also nope but I have got to be getting close.
