Would you buy this scope?

I’m pretty sure I’ll need 2 of these 2 start out with. Whether I pay a deposit or full price up front I’m game. Especially if it’ll help us get to hunt with them this fall.
 
Why do hunters need mil based reticles in their spotters? I've hade a Bushnell lmss for a long time with a mil reticle, used it in lots of matches, but never hunting. Are you milling elk horns with lrf yardage calcs to determine trophy size? We've all gone to smaller cartridges that allow to self spot shots, so milling corrections on follow ups isn't necessary. Are you guys all shooting prs now trying to mill target size? Maybe I'm missing something entirely........

It’s a lot simpler to spot shots and give subsequent observational data to a shooter when you each have the same measuring unit in your visual field of view. That doesn’t change based on what type of shooting activity you’re doing, that’s just a fact of shooting.

I know you say you’re all self spotting shots, but my own experience with distance and high wind is that more sets of eyes spotting shots is always better. At 200 yards, does this matter? Not really. Past 500…. Yeah.
 
It’s a lot simpler to spot shots and give subsequent observational data to a shooter when you each have the same measuring unit in your visual field of view. That doesn’t change based on what type of shooting activity you’re doing, that’s just a fact of shooting.

This and it is also a handy tool to judge trophy or legal size

  • Will it be a "loop" (1-2-3-4-5-1-2-3-4-5...)? or
  • Subsequent presses (1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1)? or
  • Toggle (one side of toggle (+) increase / other side of toggle (-) decrease)?
  • Or something different than above?
 
They make a 20-60 spotter with their OSR MRAD reticle currently.

There are several mil reticle spotters on the market, which is a pretty small one demand wise. Optics are a tough game. Saturated already with big players, best of luck if they try to bring one out.

It's really difficult to make a small, mechanically durable variable resistor. Making it resistant to shaft impacts is particularly challenging.
