Any one have a suggestion for a work back pack that will hold a laptop and a few files, clipboard etc? Maybe about 2000 cu Im an engineer, so my time is split between office and job sites. I had been using a victronix which was ok, but open to suggestions. Was looking at mystery ranch EDCs on thier website. Looking to keep it about 100 or less.

Check out drago gear, I have a couple of they're packs and gun cases. One of them I use every day. Customer service was top notch when I needed to contact them about a warranty issue.

I just replaced an osprey pack I was using for work with a 30l Eddie Bauer bag. I’m an engineer as well and I split my time up between the office, factory and mines/quarries. I like that is has a low profile hip belt that can be folded in for day to day use if you don’t have it loaded up.

I would get a used Camelbak motherload or bfm on ebay. Good packs, lifetime any owner warranty, removable waist belt, good admin pouch for organizing small items and very comfortable up to 50#.

I have had an urban zippy for a couple years now. I carry a big laptop and my leather binder. I can carry a handful of 11x17 drawings, just not in a binder. I have been really happy with it.

I've been using a kelty redwing 44 for my daily bag now for over a year. I have reccomended them to others and I would buy another. I only wish they came with better color options

I’ve searched for the holy grail of work backpacks for a long time and this is the best I’ve come up with:

Can be found on Amazon for hundred bucks pretty frequently. Good organization, laptop sleeve is awesome for airport security and plenty room for a jacket, lunch, files etc.

+3 on the renegade. Comfy and great organization. Fits larger laptops really well.

SOG has a few backpacks that have a padded laptop slot as well as a flip down hard lid for glasses, phones, chargers etc. Been pretty satisfied with mine the last few years.
