Price my friend.
This worm hole will run deeper than hunting packs

Alpha one niner.
My personal favorite is Greenroom 136.
Malaysian outfit. Top shelf in everyday, you can go custom to off the shelf. Build and ship to the U.S. in around a month depending on how busy they are.
Pat the owner is as stand up as they come.

Everything the guys have mentioned is all great stuff.

I travel over 180 days a year. One of my teammates has this pack and it’s awesome. Even made from X-Pac fabric:

I was thinking about getting this one to carry workout clothes as well:

And lastly, my company just bought us these as an overnight bag and computer case. Can’t wait to get it in and try the “bivy mode” where you can cinch the luggage compartment down with the side compression straps.

I wish someone like Marsupia Gear would come out with an EDC Backpack with a computer sleeve and other accessories. Would love to support a company that builds hunting gear for us vs. the latest hipster bag mfg that more than likely opposes us as a group.

Alpha One Niner Whitley is a very nice laptop bag. Not bulky at all, to the point it doesn’t carry a lot. But as a portable office its pretty ideal. I really like the ballistic nylon.

I only use Swiss Gear for my work backpacks and carry-ons.

My work backpack does not get babied and will last 3-4 years before needing to be replaced. This is with being on the road 240+ days a year and in some less than pristine locations.

Their carry-ons have been money. My first one lasted over 750K flight miles, thousands of driven miles, unknown number of rolled miles, etc. Sometimes it is in the overhead bin and other times the baggage damagers get their grubby hands on it. My subsequent ones have not been "as good" but still have no issues hitting the 500K+ mark.

I used Swiss Gear for all of my international business travel over the years. The backpacks have held up well; never had issues with zippers and my laptop has always been safe. Big enough to pack everything for a quick overnight for traveling light.

I have a couple that I like and switch out between. Kuiu 2000 or Yeti back pack has served me well.

I used to fly 50k/year and drive maybe 30k, lots of hotels. Pretty happy with the Osprey Porter 30 for a couple day trip… except it doesn’t have an external pocket for a water bottle - which would make it close to perfect. Still pretty durable so I’d see what they’re currently offering.

Nothing but great things to say about AER.
Go with the Xpac one with the orange interior.

I have a large engineering laptop I carry along with notebooks and sometimes a jacket /lunch. Wasn’t cheap but I have a MR 2 day assault pack that fits everything & has held up really well.
