Well I'm trying to be careful with my hamstring, thus far hiking/snowshoeing have been fine. Today would have been week three for Wendler which is the heaviest week (up to 95% of 1RM), but instead I'm using my week 4 routine (which Wendler uses as a recovery/deload week). I'm going to do the same in a couple of days w/ squats/bench too to keep everything on the same schedule. In a week I'll reassess- either start the whole cycle over or if need be repeat the recovery/deload week.
I did have slight "niggle" in my hamstring on the last two sets, not pain, but I could feel it wasn't 100%. Might try wrapping it next go round just for the hell of it.
I'm all packed up for the White Mountains. The plan is a two day, one night trip around the Pemigewasset Loop. We'll be driving up today and hiking Thursday and Friday. I'm hoping it's a fine send off for winter 23'.
Gym day for me
25 minutes on the stepper
Bicep curls
Lat pulls
Bench press
leg curls / leg lifts
Seated rowing
Back extension
All together 1.5 hrs in the gym
shovel snow for an hour (warmup ), then 4 miles x-country skiing- snow not very good- 3-4" of good snow, but 2-3" of slush underneath makes for slow going
On vacation in south Texas so definitely no snow here! Been running trails and lots of hiking each day. Just hit the city portion of the trip so probably gonna be more margaritas than miles the next 24 hrs
