Had a great (but very tough!) hunt. Buddy passed on a big buck, I wouldn't have, but would be lying if I didn't breathe a sigh of relief :D

33 miles and north of 10,000' on the hunt. 4 mile recovery hike today with Tiny Elvis

We were on bulls everyday my best opportunity was Thursday had a bull at 30yds but just couldn’t get him to step out of the brush before he winded me. My buddy hit a 6pt but forward in the scap barely penetrated , trickle of blood at one spot is all we found , searched the rest of the day to no avail . All in all , a great trip to a new area on public land. We looked over a few good bulls and a lot of smaller but legal ones. We averaged 5-8 miles a day up and down up and down. I think we were a week early as they were really starting to work in with the cooler weather.

Today
5x5 of :
Back squat
Bench press
Barbell row

2x8 of each
Pull up
Side lateral dumbbell raise
Weighted sit up
