Another 3 mile trail run today before the rain starts back up again.

Breaking in some new Altra trail runners, really enjoying them so far.

It went alright. I went into it with some leg fatigue so my time on the couplet wasn't as fast I hoped for. I was a little leery of red-lining so I held back on the burpee pace a little and that cost me. If I did it again I would definitely push the pace more. I had time for 3 reps on the cleans. I ended up within 5 lbs of my all time PR on the clean at least. I hit the last clean pretty easily, I think I could have PR'd the clean if I had another 30-45 seconds or so for another attempt.

I know I underestimated it myself. I think I let my mind get the best of me around the 7 or 8 rep rounds and paid for it in time on the last round. The clean was just under my PR so I was happy with that. I found that resting the dumbbells on my shoulder and just supporting them there gave me the best balance on the squats.

Clean 245#

I actually liked this one. I left some time out there in A, I no repped three burpees and could push the pace more so I'd guess I could shave 30-45s there. No idea going in how to pace this one makes it a little hard.

Clean I left some pounds there as well. I would expect to get 10 more #'s but will leave it at that. Not a fan of max lifts, especially at the end of a workout.

I'm going to redo Monday.

Started crossfit 6 months ago and signed up for the open to get a gauge for improvement. Fouled up 18.1 and 18.2 perfectly, underestimating and overestimating my capabilities. Quite a learning curve for this old geezer in the crossfit world, debating if I should redo the 18.2 workout.

18.2 retest today.

Idk how people are approaching their max lifts. I was 65# off my all time best and it took all I had to get under the bar. Standing it up was quite a chore as well. Lol
