Both of those scopes are basically unobtainium so the prices make sense.
This right here. I have had people try and talk me down on pricing because they can buy it brand new from XX store, when the item I am selling is also brand new.I always start high because everyone wants to haggle. You can price stuff 90% off retail and every single time they will ask for another dollar off.
It should be factored in because that is what it would cost the buyer to buy it new from a store. So if an item with sales tax cost the buyer 200 bucks and I am selling it for 100, that is a 50% discount. Why should the seller have to price it lower? It cracks me up that some sellers justify their prices but mentioning how much the sales tax would be for a potential buyer. IMO sales tax should not be factored in, you paid the tax when you bought it and this shouldn't be factored in. There still are places that don't charge sales tax & there are 5 or so states that don't pay sales tax.
Except no sales tax in my state. It should be factored in because that is what it would cost the buyer to buy it new from a store. So if an item with sales tax cost the buyer 200 bucks and I am selling it for 100, that is a 50% discount. Why should the seller have to price it lower?
Then you can price your items lower as your input costs are lower and they should sell quicker.Exce

Simple answer is if the price is wrong it won't sell. Whoever wants can put whatever price they want on anything. If the price doesn't work for you move on.
Bingo.I always start high because everyone wants to haggle. You can price stuff 90% off retail and every single time they will ask for another dollar off.
