Why is the .270 dying?

I’m getting sub .5 MOA at 100 with factory Hornady Superformance 140 grainers.

For what size group?

I fear I may be going in reverse lol. I just sold my 6.5 PRC X-Bolt, and bought a Tikka in .270 and I’m only 25 years old. Here’s to the young guys keeping the classics alive

Retired in 2021. Ammo shortage was in full gear. Plenty of 270, 308, 30-06, 7mm Rem mag, 300 WM and 6.5 creedmore available. Not much else. Bought a 270, 6.5 creedmore Howa Superlight and a whole bunch of ammo. Own lots of rifles, including 6.5 PRC and 7 PRC due to being bored in retirement. Haven’t hunted with either. Probably will hunt with the 7PRC eventually because it’s 20” and threaded and shoots great with my can, but my 270s are my do anything rifles. If I could only own one gun, it would be a 270.

The .270 was the first rifle I bought that I “bonded” with. Sounds kind of silly but it’s true. When I was old enough to buy a gun I got a 30-06 and a .270. Sold the 06 a couple years later and have been whitetail hunting with a .270 ever since.
