The modern, long, high BC bullets that have shot up in popularity have bled over and improved the performance of more traditional cartridges such as with the ELDX. Still viable for slower twist and shorter throat barrels but increased BC.The .270 can't shoot any of the "modern" bullets unless its a custom. The ammo for a .270 hasn't changed. Basically all offerings are the 130-150gn class for a rifle with a 1 in 10 twist. Bullets have improved over time, but when we speak of modern bullets, generally it means high BC, heavy for caliber.
