What’s your rifle weigh?

Added a lighter, fixed 2.5x scope to a Pierce titanium 300RCM rifle and it's 4lbs 14oz. Lightest rifle I own.

Hey Peter, I've been looking at some titanium actions and was wondering, how do like the feed/cycling of that Pierce? Do you find it to be smooth or not so much?

The 300RCM is an ADL fed setup and feeds decent. It's tricky to run slow though. My other all titanium Pierce uses the Hawkins mags and it feeds extremely well.

My Tikka T3x lite in 7RM with Talley one piece rings and a Leupold VX3 4.5-14x40 weighs in at 7.3# that’s with no sling or bipod

My lightest is a Tikka T3X Lite in 300wm is 7.6lbs with a empty mag and with Talley lightweight aluminium rings, vx5hd 2-10x44.

Waiting for my Howa superlite in 308w and estimating that to be sub 6lbs with Talley lightweight aluminium rings and a vx3hd 3.5-10x42 illuminated.

It is interesting in this thread to see some people weigh an empty rifle with no attachments.
Others at least have the magazine in.
Some people actually weigh the rifle fully loaded (the difference from four 6.5cm versus 338-06 is not nothing), and include a bipod, the scope cover, a sling, etc.

I cut a bunch of weight off my rifle last year when I realized that I never use the sling (rifle rides on a quick release on my backpack) and I switched from a neoprene to a dyneema scope cover.

Also, I'm seeing that the Leupold VX-3 4.5-14x40mm seems to weigh about half as much as similar scopes from other brands (13oz versus 20-30+ oz ). Are there any other outlier lightweight scopes out there, meaning - sub 15oz scopes with 40ish mm objectives?

Savage ultra lite 28 nosler w/ empty mag
-stocky's m50 next gen carbon fiber stock
-alum scope rail
-nightforce ultralite 30mm rings
-nightforce shv 4-14x50 F1 w/ scope caps
-TI pro 4 port brake
-2.5" alum pic rail on forend
-lo pro scope level

8.9lbs

I think my usual hunting gun comes in around 10-10.5 pounds with bipod and suppressor on it, plus a 12" arca rail along the bottom of the fore end. That weight will go up if I switch out the barreled action to my other non-carbon fiber barreled one which I'm considering though.

I would guess mine is probably right around 12 lbs all done with scope and ammo. I haven't found it to be unbearable to carry in the woods.

New rifle weight 5lb 11oz. Howa Superlite in .308 WIN. Talley aluminum lightweight rings and Leupold vx3hd 3.5-10 x 40 firedot reticle 30mm tube. Absolute handful to shoot while zeroing prone or on a bench but otherwise its quite manageable.

As BAKPAKR said, it is the SWFA UL 2.5-10 BDC version. I got the BDC version so I can do holdovers instead of having to dial. My goal is to get this rifle to 6lbs flat with a suppressor.
I’ll have to check that out. I didn’t realize that they did a bdc reticle. I have a very similar setup (Mtn ascent, hybrid, swfa 3-9) and I’m about 7 1/2 lbs. What is your barrel length?

I've been hunting with lightweight rifles for 60 years. My Husqvarna walnut stocked 4100 in 30-06 weighs 6.4 pounds and my 1640 with beech stock comes in at a 1/2 pound less.
