So far I'm testing either FMJ 340 with 175 gr up front or carbon injexion 330 with 140 gr up front.

Need to shoot them more but I'm leaning towards the injexion. Even at about 80 gr less it seems the injexion have been penetrating more.

Any recommendations for deep six fix blade broadheads???

I just ordered some Easton a/c injexions 330
50grain penetrator 2 vap inserts
And going to run standard slick trick 100grs.
Flex-Fletch 3.6 vanes as well.
And most importantly, ROKSLIDE WRAPS! I ordered 5" when I should have probably went with the 7 but meh we'll see.

Gold Tip Kinetic XT 300, accu-tough insert, 20gr weight, 4" wrap, four fletch 2.3" vanetec super spine, accu-tough nock, and 100gr QAD exodus full blade. 500gr total weight. 13% FOC.

I'm going to pick up some of the steel Ulmer edge and try them out. Also thinking about trying a lighter arrow. The Easton axis seems popular in this thread.

I just got in a half dozen BEA 250 spine x-impacts. Looks like they're going to be in the 440gr range when all is said and done.

Elk- GT 300 Kinetics with 20 gr. insert, Accu-tough insert and nock. Blazers and 125 gr. Helix single bevel broad head. Somewhere around 495 gr.

That's almost my exact setup.

29 inch GT 300 Kinetic Pros. Normal outsert, with 40 grain weights. Two inch blazers and tipped with a 125 grain Helix Single Bevel. Sittng at 520 grains total and around 15% FOC.

I haven't had the pleasure of taking an animal with this set up yet. Archelk, have you?

As for the outserts, I haven't had any issues and I've hit some hard stuff practicing. I talked to the guy at my pro shop about using HITs and he talked me out of it. He said they don't fit as well so getting them to spin true was more difficult and he also said the inserts can bend just like the outserts, only you don't realize it. Not sure if any of that is true, but I believed him and went with the outserts. Like I said, no issues yet.

Sorry for the late reply. no I have not had the pleasure yet but sure hope to come elk season. The Helix is a new head for me but I'm impressed with it to say the least.

My buddy and I both switched to the 2 blade Helix last year and both were absolutely impressed with the performance. We didn't have much luck with elk last year but each took deer. Incredible blood trails and both went 50 yards or less. In my experience so far they are as accurate as field tips and no bow adjustments are necessary when switching back and forth.

-Victory VAP V3 350
-Victory 50 grain Penetrator 2 outserts
-2" Blazer vanes rt helical
-Either the Nock Out or Nocturnal nocks
-Strickland 100 grain Helix head

Any recommendations for deep six fix blade broadheads???

Last year I was shooting with three other guys at Easton that were testing the FMJ injection while I was shooting the FMJ 340. I was pulling the same if not a bit more lbs and every time they were all getting farther penetration (about 3"-6" more) on the 3D targets than I was. Never has the standard FMJ looked so FAT as it did that day!

I just got the Injection FMJ 330's and am trying to figure out if I should do a 3x or 4x vane setup. Also debating on a 125 grain broadhead (Slick Trick or Solid fixed blades for Idaho Elk, 125 grain Ulmer Edge for Utah) over the standard 100 grain. Will have to figure out FOC of each setup.

My current setup which I'll use on my Hoyt Alpha Max 35 is the FMJ 340, Nitro 2" Vanes, 4" wrap, standard 20 grain insert and 100 grain Grim Reaper Razor Tip.

Will also be testing the Easton da'Torch with a 75 or 50 grain brass insert, 2" Blazers, 4" wrap, 100 grain Ulmer Edge and Nockturnal Lighted Nock.

Yea, I'm very undecided as of yet. Any feedback on any of these setups is appreciated.

I'm staying with the black eagle rampage 300s this year. I am going to try the stainless insert, I have bee using the firenock aluminum insert. I had a couple bend practicing last year.

I will probably stay with my Magnus stinger 125s, but may try the anarchy. I have some, they seem like a softer steel. I about cut one in half last year shooting it into the back of a stinger in the target.

I use vanetec 4" vanes.
