What products do you wish companies made for hunting?

Interesting, what would you like to see in a western hunting boot that is different from a backpacking boot? I’ve been thinking about this for the last five minutes and didn’t come up with much. Possibly an insulation layer underfoot that would not absorb moisture? I rely on sock layers rather than insulation in mine because once insulation gets wet it stays wet or damp until you have heat to dry it.

Well to summarize my ramblings the tread from the merrell rogue hiker, midsole of a trail runner and a shank to give a little more rigidity. Anatomically correct toe box (Altra). Synthetic all around. Full rand, minimal seems. Very flexible upper. Kevlar in high wear areas. Options for insulation and gortex. Not so aggressive drop. Most importantly they don’t weigh 1.5lbs per boot in a size 13.

There are like 10 out there? Most of these are still in production.

CG-Extreme is the same as Geissle on safety.

Buy one off eBay, I do that all the time. The single set Canjar is a perfect example.

Sounds like they don't actually fit you. When they fit and are laced to a good tension, my foot never moved around inside Hokas. My only issue was the sole is thicker than I like for uneven ground.

They didn't work for a 1500 foot vertical climb or decent in the winter.

I wish Swarovski would make RF binos that had the optical quality as the nl pure line, with applied ballistics software in a 12x52 model. There wouldn't need to be any other bino combo out there. Best of both worlds.

I think the range finder holster market is severely lacking. I would like to se exo have molle webbing on the hip belt larger than the hip pockets. I would like to see exo make a holster for their hip belts that works on the same side as a hip pocket. Boot dryers! I would like to see a lightweight and packable rechargeable heated boot dryer. I would like to see other companies market like peax so guys buy quality gear and not their commission based Chinese rebranded crap due to media influence. I would like to see elite bows get with the times. Their new carbon bow has a longer brace height than the previous model. They do not offer 80lb limbs, they have a poor color selection, I personally would like to see more options on cams and limbs vs black. They also just updated their quivers to have a cable loop at the top, which does no one any good on the mountain. Lastly I would like to see us put our differences aside and tackle the big issues that affect us all, then once that’s settled we can sort out the nuance differences within our community.

Also in rain I always get water up my sleeves even if the rain gear is new and still waterproof. Drysuit style gaskets on the wrists would be cool but that would affect breathability and make then slow to get on. Probably only a few Alaska moose hunters would buy that.

Lots of fishing rain jackets have that feature, could probably just get a good wading jacket.
