Law enforcement is my career. I had 12 weeks off a year and lots of flexibility. Work injury has me sitting at home.

Fisherman, I tried to have a normal job for a year, but it was too boring for me. Pros and cons to making a living on the ocean, but it’s hard to get away from

I’m an electrician. I have 4 weeks vacation and 7 personal days. Obviously wish it were more but it’s enough for the little adventures I take.

MD. Training has gotten in the way of hunting for nearly 15 years now but finally finishing up and excited to get back into it this upcoming fall. Six weeks of PTO will be quite nice to that end

Auto mechanic. I own my shop, have 1 employee and it's always crazy busy. I always say I'll take more time off, but it's so hard to say no to work and not help someone out or try and get something done that's been sitting around a long time.
I'm attempting to transition to auto sales this year to hopefully have a little less stress and more time.

Paramedic/contractor in wildland/disaster. So I work 8ish weeks out of the summer either on a fire or hurricane work. Otherwise the rest of the year is mine to chase the kids, deer or hogs.

Geologist for the state DoT. Work takes me to some interesting places. Also did 30 years in the National Guard, retired as an E7. Oh, and I am an FFL for what that's worth.

Snow removal in the winter, landscaping/irrigation in the summer. Boss lets me take off whenever I want to go hunting or fishing. Unfortunately the snow has been total crap so far this winter in Crested Butte, and I have only worked one week total since November. Better than sitting in an office somewhere though!

I'm the county engineer/manager of our county's engineering and maintenance division (roads and bridges). We work 37.5 hour weeks and get 11 holidays off. I'm about to hit 10 years with the County, which will bump me up to 19 days off this year. That doesn't include the 12 days of sick leave I also get.

Remedial Project Manager. Provide remedial oversight for very large scale Superfund projects. Working on building up rental property portfolio and hopefully make enough doing that in 10 years that I can laugh in the face of my pension and get out 10 years before “retirement.”

Started out in wildlife biology. Worked as a roughneck for a bit when the biologist wages starved me out.

I do database management for a State College. Never more than 40 hours per week. Used to work on our family ranch. I miss the manual labor but love the weekend/evening freedom and vacation leave. I have young kids though so I’m lucky to get 10 days of hunting in each fall. I do lots of archery shoots including TAC during the summer though.
