What did you do in the reloading room today?

Brass for next barrel showed up today. I wasn't expecting this much shrinkage.

Tried to figure out which shell holder for the press and the FA hand primer to use for a new to me caliber…6.5 PRC.
I CANT FIND ANY INFO ON THIS! None of the charts show the 6.5prc. Called FA and they don’t make one.
Went ahead and sized some new brass with the same holder I use for the 270 Wby…

Should be the same as 300WM

Finally got everything in, so could finish the Tikka T3x 223 assembly. SWFA 6x MOA, SRS 20 MOA rail, SRS pic+arca rail and Vortex rings (wasn’t my first choice, but realized my Warren rings weren’t going to work). UM pic bubble level

I’m now going to load both 69 and 77 TMKs and get to the range in the near future.

Today , I looked at it with disgust cause it's a mess. I got 9mm cases laying there for 4 yrs. now . I got more 243 WIn. loaded that I found along with a pack of 223 Rem. cases that I didnt know I had, a bunch of .223 rem range brass I got for 3 bucks a hundred. I have a bunch of totes with a few hundred night crawlers in them that I picked up for perch fishing last spring and a bucket of worm castings laying on the tarp and I stood there wondering how I became so messy.

I bought a used RCBS Uniflow and stand for $60 a few weeks ago. Got it set up and loaded 100 rounds of 300 BLK in no time! This will significantly speed up my loading for 300 BLK, 223, and 6 ARC. I'll still use my chargemaster for my larger rounds, but this is a game changer.

Bought a Harrell’s Precision powder measure and mounted it up on the bench. Threw some loads until I got it right where I wanted. Then threw 10 loads and measured them on my A&D FX120i and got 23.96-24.06 with XBR. Most were 23.98-24.04. Then loaded 40 rounds of .223 and 77tmk’s. The Harrell’s is fast, easy, and accurate. I’ll mainly be using it for .223 and some practice 6CM rounds. Only used it 3 times so far but I am really liking it.

We
I took my last few prepped 338 edge cases and loaded some for seating depth.

Hopefully going to make it out this weekend and touch them off. Then brass prep of 1x fired brass.

Well here we are a month later. Been really busy when the weather was best. I finally decided just go, so with a 12-15 mph wind I elected to shoot at 200 vs 300.

Seating depth test from .020-.040 off the lands. I did charge weight development at .020 and killed at cow elk at 625 but knew i was leaving a little on the table.
Warmed up a few on steel at 300 then i settled into the 200 yard target.

I pulled the 1st shot at .020 off then had one without a primer at .025 off which is disappointing.
Still a good day and gathered data to retest at either 300 or 600. In reality from .025 to .040 is good.

Not reloading room specific but reloading room adjacent. My wife told me I needed to get my shit organized and I didn't disagree. Took half of a hall closet and built some floating shelves. It was really an excuse to use my buddy's new 4x8 CNC so two birds, one stone.

Good news is that i have plenty of space to go!
