Utah Price Increase

That's crazy - at this point I'm pretty invested in applying to the state over the last 14 years, so I guess I'll just keep paying more. Only live once, right?

Sad to see what they are doing to hunting out west. Pricing regular people with families out of the game. All these prices keep doubling and my wages don’t. I prioritized my career to have time off because hunting used to be affordable~guess I should have went for the money instead!!! Hope I win the lottery soon

Rogan is a friggin turd.

That said, I'm moving away from Utah in a couple of years. I'm now really conflicted on trying to use my elk LE points before leaving because I sure won't be applying after moving.

Do I just enjoy the area I cherish and have been hunting for the last 6-7 years and maybe try to pull a big one out? Or just try to dump my points?

Probably just forget about the draw and enjoy "my" area the next two years since I sure won't be paying $1500 to hunt the general season.

Tough call, do you have enough points to potentially draw your area? Might be worth looking at another unit and possibly hunt ML or archery to lower the points needed to draw.

Sadly, I doubt I'll draw as a NR - but you never know unless you apply .
