Unknown reaper accuracy testing with short barrels

Has anyone done any accuracy testing with a reaper. Specifically with a 18” barreled 6.5 PRC or something similar? In my testing with other lightweight Ti suppressors the groups open up ridiculously between shots 1 and 2 then when compared to heavier suppressors. I don’t want to drop another 1000 for a suppressor that does the same thing.

8 shots as fast as I could. I wasn’t even trying hard and crap conditions with 15x RS 1.2…
16in barrel 6cm didn’t even touch load from when it was 22in. Didn’t wait more than 15-20 ish seconds between shots.

Then waited 15 mins screwing around…
Shot 1, then down 2,L1. 4 shots in red.

Kept screwing with the scope with diff suppressors and zeros that day… but definitely shot well every time.

If you end up wanting a Reaper, shoot me a pm.

For what it is worth, this past summer I started a thread that went for 6-pages about the Nomad Ti XC. I didn't get a single negative comment about it from a precision or accuracy perspective.

I also didn't turn up anything using forum searches or Google.

Yes 140 accubonds, 140 Eldm, and Berger 156 eol
Hmmm... I was just asking because I had a .204 that shot 35gr bergers really good, then I put a suppressor on it and it would always throw the first shot. But it wouldnt throw the first shot on 32gr noslers and 32gr vmax.

Try shooting without a can and see how it groups.

Perhaps (big perhaps) the recoil difference between a heavier can and a light can is changing your shooting given the problem shows up on the 6.5 PRC.

I have been trying this can on this gun since March 25 I have gone back and forth from it to my ultra 7 countless times thinking it has to be something else but it always comes back to the suppressor for me. Like I said to form its lights out on a 223 bolt gun but for some reason on my shorty 6.5 not so much. It’s always between shot 1-2 that I get a massive poi shift.

I would be interested how it shoots without the suppressor as well. But im wondering if its a harmonics issue with the barrel, and the heavier suppressors act like a barrel tuner.

Out curiosity, you are using a suppressor cover aren't you?
Mirage will arrive very quickly with light weight cans compared to heavier cans.

I’m not saying you are wrong. I am just saying that I haven’t found any reports of widespread issues. The only suppressors for which I saw reports at all like this were some DD ones.

I’m assuming that nothing rattles or anything like that inside it? And that you have checked alignment with a bore guide? And that you are using direct thread attachment? And you aren’t seeing mirage? Are you using a cover?

And you have fired a statistically significant number of groups to verify this “shift.”

Have you tried any other suppressor on the rifle?

Well, darn! I am thinking about taking the plunge into the suppressor world, and the Nomad Ti XC was on my short list. I guess I will read more reviews…

Thanks for the heads up.
My TI XC holds precise on 3 separate guns. Primary is an 18" 6.5 Creed

May just not work for that particular rifle which sucks but isn't an inherent flaw in the can.

Perhaps the shoulder isn’t square on your rifle. Are you using a tbac adapter for the ultra 7? Perhaps it’s indexing different than direct thread.

Since you’re talking 3 shot groups I’ll offer two samples of three shot groups with a scythe ti. The 6.5prc and 25cm are 20” barrels.

So I have shot a surefire 260ti, ultra 5, ultra 7, nomad xc, and the Alaskan. The TBAC cans are running the non timed brake. The surefire is direct thread I had it converted a few years back and I have ran the other 2 as direct thread(have tried 4 different ones) and the area 419 mount. The 2 different TBAC cans and the surefire can this doesn’t happen with. Yes the shift is pretty predictable. No like I said I have double checked and then some everything that could come loose and nothing ever is. I have never had issues with suppressors till these two. The rugged was a waste of money but the DA still shocks me that it is doing this. I was going to try it again next time I hit the range with the new DA Brake direct thread mount just to see if that makes any difference.
