Looks like I made a mistake getting the fluted superlite barrel a couple of years ago, as cutting and threading this for a suppressor will be difficult or impossible.
So now I am looking at a barrel swap in that will do well (not [much] higher weight, high accuracy, ideally threaded already, or easy to cut and thread to desired length). Unfortunately, Proof discontinued the 7mm rem mag barrels, so that option is out.
Another option would be to rebarrel to 7mm prc but I dont actually want to go up in recoil and throw out all my existing ammo.
Third option is getting a tikka take off and have someone cut and thread it.
What do people do these days for their old 7mm rem mags?
And what length would you recommend? Let's assume I am getting either AB Raptor 8 or UM Reaper. I was thinking 20" to be safe, but would 18" be possible or am I giving up too much in terms of fps?
