DSA is one of the lightest, if not the lightest. Great lightweight carrier, but hopefully it has enough material to tap and thread and still be strong enough.

Would that be significantly lighter than the Solo bcg? Got me wondering if there are significantly lighter bolts out there also. I guess the bolts themselves would be unlikely to have more than a few grams of difference? I might be interested in changing something if it's not more than $30 and 1/3 Oz + of weight loss. I know, I'm crazy

What are those going to weigh? A 16" 223 at 16 oz would probably get me in line to get one.

Hopefully less than 16oz... my bca barrel is 16.5oz with a gas journal... so i would expect that the same profile without the gas journal would be around 15.5oz

My instructions were to beat the BCA profile, or I wasn’t going to make the order. In conversations, I think he was going to test an even smaller profile, it was just being able to make money on the Barrel and be able to maintain the appropriate wall thickness While keeping it production.

These are so lightweight already, I don't think I'd want him to go any thinner walled. Even I would start getting nervous about strength and accuracy... Since he's offering an MOA guarantee though, I guess he isn't!

For a string of 25-20 shots, it might be worrisome for accuracy... The couple of makers I have talked to are willing to go smaller for these "bolt action" because they won't be used for mag dumps, lol.
