I'm leaning towards the roughtech myself. Doing the math of barrel threading + muzzle comp on a standard TIkka alone gets you close to the roughtech price. Went to Cabelas and handled one and liked it overall.

If it matters to you, the regular version has a stainless action and barrel.

I ended up getting a regular .308 tikka t3x lite stainless that had the barrel cut down to 18.5” and threaded. Threw a VX5HD 3-15x, I love it. It a shame Tikka doesn’t sell a rifle like that from the factory. 308 doesn’t need a long barrel.

Were you able to get the Roughtec barrel threaded after it was cut? I though it was hard/impossible to get a fluted barrel threaded once you reach the flutes?
My fluted barrel is currently getting cut down and threaded. My guy said it wasn’t a problem at all!

I certainly wasn’t implying grizz country included CA or CO lol.

But Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming are always on the mind
