Tikka 223 magazine feeding issues

Lots of good info in this thread. I have (2) tikka 223a and love them. I have several 4 and 6rd mags and while they feed nice when they feed, it sure sucks when the gun goes click because the bolt rode over the room of the next round. I’ve played around stretching the springs and bending them with some trial and error error. And they are now “ok” but not fool proof. I went to a chassis on one rifle and run MDT Poly mags with no trouble now.

In NZ the metal lipped magazine is listed as the T3X magazine and has been supplied with them as long as I've known. Mine was modified to 2.5 coal.

A couple evenings ago, I shot 84 rounds of 223 from factory mags with my super glue fix.
2-4rnd mags and 1-6rnd mag, 6 times while rotating through several other rifles.

Not a huge sample but especially from the 6rnd mag, ZERO fail to feeds so far!
The 4rnd mags have been about 99% for me, I've had a few ftf in 3k-ish rounds.
the 6rnd mag on the other hand has been so finicky I just quit trying until trying the glue trick.

After the session, the glue showed very little wear. another session or two will give a better idea of expected wear.20250801_191953.jpg
