I picked up the new blued 16" 5/8 threaded 223 for 680$ the other day. I'd have preferred the stainless, but didn't want a 20" and also wasn't paying even more $$ to chop and thread it. Tikka dropped the ball IMO on only offering the ss threaded 223 in 20"

Either 6 or 6.5cm. I’m asking if the 20” factory threaded is too long with a can and if people wish they were 18” from the factory. I cut my 223 to 18”

With my personal limit of 350-400 max on whitetail, and 95% of my shots inside 200. 18” is better for packing around the dense mountains. I don’t care about the loss of velocity.

Yep, I agree. I’d even say I’d be pretty likely to take a 16” if I know I’m mounting a 6” or longer can.

Same, 16” stainless would’ve been great. I will say, mines a shooter so I’m not too upset about it.
