What’s the deal with the backwards pic rail?

I’m guessing he’s trying to clear the objective bell. Hope it’s not a canted rail. I’ve cut my rails down two bars shorter than receiver length to deal with this problem.

Also, I like rails that have a lug for the Tikka action. Doesn’t look like that one does.

It's for a thermal scope. I've got quick release rings on that scope so it's easy to switch between the two. It's an EGW extended rail that's on backwards

If it's any help, I'm specifically looking at the Stronghold or any of the flip-lid versions.
The models with the slide off cap won't work.

T3x with swfa 5x20 hd fits with a little room to spare vertically but the parallax and windage knobs are tight to the sides in a kolpin stronghold.

I did not use the sportsmatch rings, decided to put those on my 6.5 tikka hunter and use some Warne mountain tech lows that I had not in use.

Here’s my contribution. T3X Veil Alpine, 6.5 Creed. Waiting on the vertical grip to come tomorrow, but I was too anxious and couldn’t wait. I have a disease where I can’t stand having a rifle in my safe for long periods of time without knowing how it shoots. Here’s how it shoots. Currently wearing a 12x SWFA I had in the safe while I do some thinking on whether to pick up a 6x, 3-9, or 3-15 for it. Shot it for the first time yesterday. Here’s the first two groups out of it, shots 5-24, factory Hornady 140 ELDM.

My LH 8 year olds first center fire rifle. It’s a 22-250 cut to 20”. Bought a RH compact stock and filed out the left side for the bolt handle (got that idea from someone on here). Mountain tactical raptor mount and SWFA 3-9. Waiting on the mountain tactical Arca rail.

My little boy has a similar setup on a shortened rem 700 .223. It works pretty well for him.

I definitely can see where it would work great in some situations. Pretty fun ringing steel out to 100yd or so

I like to keep things simple - and am not a reloader so 99% of the time for the stuff I hunt its going to be factory Nosler 120 grain Ballistic Tips. The rifle shoots them great and they kill stuff

Thanks, I don't reload either. I tried a variety of factory rounds through mine and 120 grn Barnes TTSX and 120 grn Fusion worked really well, both 1/2" at 100 yards. The 140 grn Nosler Ballistic Tip were all over the place. I haven't been able to find 120 grn Ballistic Tips in stock.

If you can find them the 140 grain or the 120 grain Fusion have worked great for me out of my various 7MM-08's I have. Have killed a couple truckloads of antelope with them over the years, they also work great in my one .243 I still have.
