The Rokslide 95 (Ruger American 😁)

Has anyone had any issue with weak ejection? My Gen 1 7.62 is getting bad again about dribbling them out after firing like an old man standing at a urinal!

I previously stripped the bolt, cleaned, and reassembled with only a small amount of white lithium grease on firing pin spring. It was better but still not as good as other Americans I’ve shot. Any tips or suggestions?
I got a gen 2 5.56 that literally just won’t eject 4 out of 5 times now.

I got a used Gen 1 5.56 1-8ā€ from a buddy as a first center fire for my boys and just shot it yesterday. Gotta’ say; for having $700 bucks into the rifle and scope, I really like it. Shot factory 55 VMAXES into about 1ā€ for 8 rounds. Feeding with the goofy mags they use is a little funky, but I can get over it. It should be a sweet truck rifle and one for my boys to beat around with and not worry about much. Cool little package. 75 ELDMs and TAC are next…

Have the same one. Mine eats factory Hornady 73 ELDM and kills very well. Current lot shoots sub 1.25 MOA on 10 @ 2535 fps and is good to 350 to 450 depending on the density altitude. My daughter is 17 and it is her go to gun for paper, steel, fall turkey season, deer, and antelope. She takes her 6.5CM for elk.

Will 75’s fit in the mag?

Ok. All the sudden mine seems to have light primer strike after around 15 rounds, chamber it again , same thing, put it in AR and it fires.
Did it with Hornady 62 grn and Black hills 77 TMK. Fire another run and no problems.
Any one have this happen?

I've been thinking about grabbing one of the Glenfield-labeled rifles in 6.5 CM. 20" predator-profile barrel. Then putting it in a KRG Bravo stock. Seems like it could be an extremely capable platform with few downsides.

Hadn’t shot this one in a couple months.
Figured it put 10 through it just to make sure it would still go off.

Little range time working with the relatively new Vortex Crossfire red dot. Seems to be just right and makes for a handy little setup.

Gen2 stock
AR Magwell
DuraMag flush mags

Money!

For those of you that appreciate the no frills look of the Ruger American Gen 1, the Glenfield Model A finally added the 223 to their lineup:

Hopefully stores will stock it. An 8 twist 223 with a street price (based on other cartridges street prices) of under $450 should do really well if they are proven accurate. I might have to get one to test and use as a truck gun that I actually keep in the truck.

That Glenfield looks like it comes with the Duramag flush fits mags.... or Ruger decided to make a flush fit AR mag for the rifle.
Supposedly, the other cartridges have a 3 round double stack magazine and not the rotary version like the original Gen 1 did. Would be interesting to see one of the 223 models in person to see the magazine and how it works.
