I pretty much just listen to the form fridays because they are clean. The cussing got old pretty fast on the others though. I also have kids around a lot and I usually listen on a speaker and often work in or around other peoples homes, their podcast aren’t conducive for that.

I agree. But there seems to be about double (or much more) the mockery and umbrage taken by grown men about someone making a moral argument about something in a serious way that they don't even have to see or read.
I'll be the first guy to say that mature masculinity recognizes and rejects true impracticality. But some of this seems more like anti-intellectualism, and frankly, lunchroom bullying.
I don't consider either mature or masculine.

I played professional baseball and have heard it all so I'm not easily offended by anything, especially foul language. These habitual "cussors" though, haven’t grasped the fact that the internet is forever and their digital footprint is basically a neon sign saying “Don’t hire me.” They treat social media like a private conversation in a bar at 2 AM, forgetting that everyone from their grandmother to their potential boss can see it. They still get that little thrill of rebellion every time they drop an f-bomb, like teenagers who just learned these words exist. Watch how they snicker at their own profanity or look around for reactions after particularly colorful phrases. They never outgrew that phase where shocking adults felt like a personality trait.

I would definitely listen to any of the topics that interested me if there wasn’t profanity.

There is value in a lot of the episodes, but currently, with the language used, I choose to pass up that content, even though the content would be valuable to me.

There's a difference between being offended and not liking to listen to something.

I don't listen to Taylor Swift. That doesn't mean her music offends me.

Maybe if her lyrics were more vulgar, I'd listen

Edit to add: I'm not saying I don't listen to S2H because I don't like it. I like Jake and Ryan and a lot of the info. But if it's a topic I'm 50/50 on, the profanity might push me the other way. It's typically when they are wandering off-topic that they use more filler words, so maybe the aversion to excessive cussing is just a compounding issue.

I think anyone that swears a lot, myself included, can turn it on/off without much effort, if any. So a guy has to assume pumping it in is a choice, and I'm just throwing my opinion out there that it might cost them listens/views, if they care.

This has been an interesting read. I'm in the group that listens less because of the profanity. I just don't like to be around it, so I avoid it when I have the option. I've spent time on drilling rigs where guys used f bombs as nouns, verbs, adjectives, interjections, adverbs, pronouns, conjunctions and prepositions. It was fine, not a big deal, I'd just rather not if I have a choice. I'd chalk it up to how I was raised and at this point is pretty deeply engrained and not going to change. Anway not being in the habit of cursing appears to be preferable from a professional standpoint; although, it doesn't matter as much as it used to. I've never asked someone to change to suit my preferences.

I'm bilingual, and it was interesting learning the second language. American curse words have a certain ugliness to me. The curse words in the second language were just words, no extra meaning.

It’s because of my personal values. I don’t use those words, ever. So why would I needlessly fill my mind with them?
