The official unofficial tikka t1x thread

I just got a 16" and the suppressor waiting period has begun.
This will be a small game hunting rifle and I plan to use it practice dialing some shots as well.
What rings do people like. I don't really want to use a rail. I'm planning to put a SWFA 6x on, if they come back in stock. In the meantime it will get a vortex crossfire that I already own.
I had talleys on mine before I put the rail on. I didn't mind using talleys for that gun since its not really a heavy use rifle or anything.

50 rounds at 50 yards of Lapua Center X out of the new T1x .22lr. Better than I'd hoped.

I had a ? on the 1/2x28 thread length.
Mines .485 and I plan to run a Tbac takedown 22.
Tbac spec is .400
I also have a threaded mark iv that’s.435
Tbac said to use a peel washers with the mark iv but need to get tikka cut down unless already 16 inch.
Have any of you ran into this and is there not a industry standard?

@Formidilosus and anyone else...

After listening to the latest FF podcast, wondering if there is any reason to clean a T1x .22LR?

Picked one up for critter control, now the wife wants to steal it...

I shoot mine with a silencer so it gets filthy, I definetly need to clean it now and then especially after a winter of ptarmigan hunting.

Got mine out to sight in a week ago. had to sight in at 100yds due to the range I was at. I'm not making any official claims, but as I was firing two shot groups to make adjustments in the scope, the holes were touching or very close. Was shooting CCI Standard. Didnt even try any fancy ammo cause the wind picked up. I'm very excited to see how it does with more ammo selection. It is nice when everything just works as it should and nothing needs to be adjusted or cobbled together. 73957775986__1D43EE9C-7944-45B7-8593-A78B23AFBFC5.jpg

Put a Sliencerco Switchback suppressor on the T1x. Damn near completely silent in the full length configuration. I did have about a 1" POI shift at 50 yards, but if anything it's more accurate than ever now. 10 Lapua Center X in more or less the same hole.

I’ll play…

My 17hmr dropped into a Manners EH1-TK.
Reduced trigger spring and an Arken EPL 4-16X44

Looking forward to getting a supressor for it.

Definitely want to get a T1X in .22LR now!

75 yds off a fence post with SK High Velocity. I imagine it tightens up dramatically with a more stable position. Trigger spring, vertical grip, lucid 6-24 L5 scope

Got it out for about 3hrs last weekend. Shoots tenex and match to same POI. Shoots CCI SV about about half inch at 50 also. Did some positional work with my tripod and was super impressed with the accuracy. Was shooting 2 inches at 158 yards off the tripod in a seated position. Was also very impressed with groups when I was zeroing at 50yds.

Overall a very accurate rifle that is fun to shoot and good practice.
