This platform has been mentioned here or there but I thought I would start a thread.

I grabbed a 16” version a my local gun shop.

I am trying to decide if i want to leave it light and lean as a hunter or bling it up as a bench rig.

who has one? Who wants one? What have you done with it?

I've recently been looking at the T1x. Might have to pick one up sometime next year. I think it would be a big upgrade from my current Savage model 93.

Will do. My gun shop had 3 yesterday (down to 2 now). The owner said they had been on order for a while and tikka/beretta were getting caught up. Could mean they will start showing up in greater volume And frequency.

there is a +100 page thread on snipers hide about guys tricking them out. I have a vortex crossfire 3-9x that I am going to mount as soon as I decide on some rings.

Had mine in .22 MTR for 10 days. You can go either way with it. 10 mins after scope mounted and 2 scope adjustments, 10 shots total w/CCI SV , last 7 touching or same hole @40 yds. off a pillow and shoulder. Not "dialed in" just 1st day play'n.

Have had a T1X in 17 HMR for about two years now. Threw an old Razor LH 3-15 on it. Have done nothing else to it as it did not need anything else to be done; no different than any of my other rifles.

Shoots Hornady 20 gr XTP like a champ. Messed around one day and shot 15 rounds as fast as I could. Wound up being about 1.5” group @ 100 without adjusting for wind.

At least once a month I shoot a 50 round box through it. It’ll shoot a round at 100, 200, and 300 and then back the other way; dialing the whole time.

Before a hunt I take a box and shoot each round slowly going through the entire shooting process. It’s boring but makes “go time” in the field a lot easier.

Attached is a photo of the messing around group.

Bought mine already tricked out with the aftermarket barrel, all I did was drop it in a cheap Boyd’s stock and put a SWFA 10x on top. So much fun to plink with, taken it out to 300 yards with cheap ammo so far.

I went way overboard on my t1x. It’s in 17hmr and was bought for vermin control. I put way too much into it but it’s a nice little gun. Have a tbac takedown in jail for it. To about 175 yards it’s a killing machine. Personal farthest kill was at 285 yards on a prairie dog in perfect no wind conditions. Fun to dial up to real point blank range for taking care of the chipmunks eating all my chicken food. It’s the rifle that’s always ready to go in the house for predators and vermin.

$500-550?

There is one in stock at Murdoch's, and I think would satisfy my itch. My nightforce F1 shv is riding in my 4 year old's TCR22 and it shoots well enough it's caused me to hesitate on "investing" in a bolt rimfire.

16.5” Blued barrel. List was $499. I got a little shaved off the top for being a frequent shopper. I was out the door for a shade over $500.

I have one that I made to match my hunting rifle. It’s in a AG composites Privateer and both now wear a Mountain tactical bottom metal.

Sweet rigs. How does one get an AG composites tikka stock? I don’t see tikka as an option on their site.

Well, it’s a process. You have to contact a gunsmith that deals with AG directly. I went through Oregon Mountain Rifles. I’ve heard bad things about him on RS, but he got me both of my stocks and always answered the phone and all my questions. It took about 4 months but I would do it again, I love the fell of the stock on the Tikkas. I used to have Manners EHTs on both rifles.

They are sweet little rifles. Excellent triggers, and function.

I put mine together as trainer with Sightron 3-15x. And it shoots those cheap buckets of Remington surprisingly well. Not quite quality target ammo groups but very impressive.
