Great story and helluva ram. Not knocking ya here, just friendly advice, but if ya don't want people to know where you were hunting, don't make it so easy to figure out. Other people that hunt that area would appreciate it too...

I could honestly not care less if everyone knows... I mainly added the disclaimer for the guys who get their panties in a wad over their honey hole being online (their honey hole being one of the most applied for tags in the entire state). If you know where it is, great you know where we got extremely fortunate. Alaska is the size of 1/4 of the rest of the country combined yet some still tend to think its impossible to get away...

Great story and pics! Congrats
I can see why your buddy wanted to use a rifle. I love bow hunting but hat terrain looks almost impossible to stalk into bow range.

Oh it was... and you'd have to be border line crazy to attempt a 2 day archery walk in sheep hunt. haha It was just as luck would have it that this ram bedded within 50 yards of a knoll with a perfect wind that would have allowed us to slip down into 40 yards or so from where we were currently. No biggy at all, but definitely a what if moment after 10 days of unsuccessful archery moose hunting. I was just glad he pulled it off with such a short time window!

I agree that you have to be thankful for those easy hunts because lord knows you earn them every now and then! Congrats on a great hunt and some wonderful photos.
