The 29 Hour Walk-In Dall Ram

Congrats on the hunt. Goes to show that sheer blind luck is better than all the shrewd calculating in the world, everytime. Might want to be better prepared the next time as the weather and sheep might not be as cooperative. Love the snow line..... just don't want it to creep down while on the hunt.

I had another set of pants, they were just hot goretex pants as old as I am that I borrowed. I wanted to save them for bad weather before wearing them. We lucked into a sunny day allowing me to rock the leggings only.

I do agree the sheep mountains are no place to fool around and head in ill prepared.

It's a draw area, and few will connect the dots along with a tag. Great writeup and pics. I'd love to see video if you get it uploaded. Awesome adventure for sure and congrats to you and your buddy.

I could honestly not care less if everyone knows... I mainly added the disclaimer for the guys who get their panties in a wad over their honey hole being online (their honey hole being one of the most applied for tags in the entire state). If you know where it is, great you know where we got extremely fortunate. Alaska is the size of 1/4 of the rest of the country combined yet some still tend to think its impossible to get away...

well said--its a draw area to boot--who gives a chit

posts like this are why this is the only forum this 52yr old computer illiterate has ever joined. thanks tembry.

Awesome story man. The scenery and experience alone are worth it, but a great ram to boot.
