SWFA Gen 2 Fixed 6 - when??

Glad. You like the 6x, I do too but the reticle is poor for dark timber and woods.
It is not poor for “dark timber”. I’ve killed countless animals in “dark timber” with this and the 3-9. It’s a non issue unless the user has vision problems.
Illumination would be a big improvement....I'm not talking glowing so you can't see in dim light illumination. Just enough to be visible like a Accupoint.

You also may be very young. Things change as your eyes age.
This is true. I’m lucky to only be 40 and have excellent vision. Things could very well change as I age and my eyes start to “go”.

But this would not be an issue with a certain scope or reticle. It would be a user need/preference to aid with a specific user issue.

Its Kenko.... specifically, Kenko Tokina, which is the parent company of Sightron. Sightron used to a market a fixed 10x that was very similar to the SWFA 10x as well.

Just received my gen 2 6x. It appears that the reticle is not plumb with the turrets or scope housing. Have any of you seen this from swfa? This would be a first for me.

I got my new 6x. Overall - I’m sure it’s the same as the other gen 2 but I don’t have any other on hand - only gen 1. Turrets have much more tactile clicks, the turret covers are huge. Everything else seems to be on par with what I’d expect from Swfa. Not sure if I’ll use the low profile turret for elevation or use the normal turret. I plan to cap the windage or figure out a low profile.

I haven’t personally but everyone has defects. I’m sure one call/email to Swfa and they will have a new one headed to you

The turrets are designed to be perfectly plumb to the reticle? I don’t see how that can be done realistically. Besides, I plumb the reticle to the receiver.

Your picture looks 180 degrees out from the site.
And all the Gen 1’s I’ve ever looked through.
Unless I’m missing something.
The picture I posted is the reticle being projected onto my wall, I shined a flashlight through the front of the scope, this flips the image. The reticle is not actually upside down.

I see the halo on the wall now.
Didn’t realize it would flip with the flashlight.

Played with my gen 2 fixed 6 today. The turrets are incredibly crisp. Better than my Trijicon tenmile and nx8. Close to the same level as my maven

Lightyears ahead of my Gen 1 fixed 10

Is this what others are seeing with their Gen 2’s?

Yes, the turrets feel significantly more tactile than the gen1 6x

Yes. Taking the O-ring out of the Gen 1 makes them better but not the same as these IMO.

I got mine mounted up on my Tikka 223 over the weekend. Will get it sighted in hopefully Wednesday morning.

Might be 6 months wait. A year ago, numerous people had waited 18 months for warranty replacements.
