Whoops it was the 16x sorryHow was that true 4 min ago and they are gone now![]()
Well I mean it's kind of the same thing as a 6x... Just plus 10. LolWhoops it was the 16x sorry
Just gotta look through it with your binoculars backwards…Well I mean it's kind of the same thing as a 6x... Just plus 10. Lol
Adjustable parallax, and now capped turrets (that are huge)Hey quick but real question.
The new 6x is both longer and heavier than the 3-9. Is the only advantage the cost savings?
I am waiting on the UM scope for my PRC but have one other rifle needing glass and was planning on the gen 2 6 but if the only advantage is $250 I will just order a 3-9.
I have had a 6x for a few years and just got a 3-9 a few months ago but so far I like the 3-9 a little better, better glass, slipping turrets, and the extra power are nice. I also think the build quality and longevity is a little better as well.Hey quick but real question.

Since they're already sold out of the 6x with no known ETA, if you need a scope now then the 3-9 is your choice.Hey quick but real question.

3-9 is a much nicer scope although it generally in is unusable below 5x for huntingHey quick but real question.

Glad. You like the 6x, I do too but the reticle is poor for dark timber and woods. Illumination would be a big improvement....I'm not talking glowing so you can't see in dim light illumination. Just enough to be visible like a Accupoint.I’ve killed 4 coues deer now, a Great Dane sized animal that blends into terrain better than any animal you’ve seen, at nearly dark, with SWFA fixed 6 scopes.
Two at around 200 yards and two past 500 yards, steep elevated seated shots. An illuminated reticle would have done nothing but made the shot process and sight picture worse.
I’ve also killed countless whitetails in the heavy timber and dark swamps of Minnesota using these scopes.
I understand there are niche situations where an illuminated reticle may help, but for big game hunting and actually killing animals, an illuminated reticle almost always stuffs up the process and hinders instead of helping.
The 6x are affordable to outfit multiple rifles, adjustable parallax, keeps the kids from trying to zoom to max.Hey quick but real question.

I don’t think there has been any indication there will be a Gen 2 3-9 yet, has there? I don’t recall seeing that. Just focus of restocking them in general. It will be nice to see the Gen II 3x9.
Everything else has a Gen2 made now, so I think most of assume a Gen2 3-9 is in the works.I don’t think there has been any indication there will be a Gen 2 3-9 yet, has there? I don’t recall seeing that. Just focus of restocking them in general.
If you're referring to being able to use the subtensions, I agree. For point and shoot though, the reticle is no more and no less usable than any typical duplex type reticle.3-9 is a much nicer scope although it generally in is unusable below 5x for hunting
due to the reticle. Better glass, lighter, and smaller knobs.
Both. The reticle is just too fine for me especially in timber/woods under 5x. You can point/shoot centering the heavier part of the duplex but it's tough to see the center. If you're referring to being able to use the subtensions, I agree. It’s a different manufacturer and they also restocked the Gen 1 (vs bringing a Gen 2 to market after the long wait). I’d be nice if they did but I wouldn’t assume anything unless they confirm it’s gonna happen.Everything else has a Gen2 made now, so I think most of assume a Gen2 3-9 is in the works.
But to your point, nothing confirmed that I’m aware of.
