Suppressor wait times getting faster

I ordered from SilencerShop on Nov 26, picked it up from gun shop on Dec 15. That includes fingerprints, form 3, shipping to FFL, Form 4 approval, etc. The actual Form 4 wait on ATF approval was 3 days I believe.

This is my first silencer and I used trust.

How long did it take to get shipped to your LGS from SilencerShop? Ordered one last Tuesday through them and just curious.

That’s was the longest step. 7 or 8 days from when the form 3 approval to ship and when ffl notified me it was time to certify.

Edit: it was actually 15 days from when I signed documents until it was time to certify the Form 4. Signatures complete on 11/27, Form 4 ready to submit on Dec 11

Nov 27. Fingerprints via kiosk and sign docs
Dec 11. Form 4 ready to certify. Was certified that day.
Dec 15. ATF approved and I picked up suppressor

Thank you! That’s what I was figuring from what I’ve seen online. Usually buy from my LGS, but they’ve been sold out and decided to give SS a try.

You should have received an email from the atf with status change in the subject when you certified. That is the date people go by.

I can’t seem to find the breakdown like you have but unfortunately I’m still pending. It was ordered on 11/8 and they were in stock I’ll have to see when I certified

That’s how it was for me on my last one… everyone was getting them back in 2-3 days, mine ended up being 19.

I may end up picking up another can this weekend, so hopefully it’ll be a quick approval this time.

My paperwork was submitted on a Monday afternoon, I picked up on the following Thursday afternoon

For me it took longer to get the Silencer to my local FFL. Once I submitted to atf I got my approval 7 days. On a family trust.

For what it's worth, I did my fingerprinting and submitted my tax stamp payment with our local dealer on 12/20 and got my eForm approval today - eight days including a federal holiday. Felt real good taking that bad boy home today.

Same. I’ve got two from different suppliers reaching annoying time just to ship to my dealer. Once there they go pretty quick.

I have heard there is a big difference between a multi person trust like what I have bought through and an individual purchase. My multi-person trust purchase took 7 months but a friend bought one during that period individually and had it in 2 weeks. That's just 2 data points though....

Question - I live in WV, my gal lives in Ohio. There is a Silencer Shop Kiosk closer to her place than there is to my place in WV.
Can I use a kiosk in a state different than I live in?
