I actually do know some guys who do that and they do kill alota birds. Not for me though.Anyone ever load lighter (smaller shot) shotshells for first round and then heavier (larger shot) shells for follow up? Had a guy in a sporting goods/department store suggest that once.
Elks Lodge puts on a great local gun show. Good food, good company, subpar deals on guns. Doesn't make me want to " blow my brains out "That's a pretty weird way to say you've never been to a gun show...

That's what most idiots in my area have shot since the 70s. I was born in 68 so I don't know what they shot before.Seems like an odd stray
Local convenience store owner was a hunter. His son, about 8 years old was a great kid that liked talking to customers about hunting. That's one we should have a thread on.
I had an older gentleman say something similar. He was a friend of a friend on a shooting day and showed up with his rifle still in a case. He took forever and pulled it out and it was some “best of the west” carbon fiber stock and carbon fiber barrel gun. Hand loaded ammo but the boxes looked really aged, like at least 10 year old boxes. The gun looked brand new.Just had a guy at the range this morning (older dude, very, very nice rifle & scope setup) tell me that he's only interested in killing a deer at long range & if he sees a deer he really wants & it's close than 700yds he's going to back up until it's far enough away!!
I just gave him a dead look & called him a f&#@ing idiot.
Those aren't "straight wall". They're "bottle neck" cartridges. My state went from slug only to straightwall rifle a few years ago. Its surprising how many guys were happy they could finally use their .270 or 30-06.

I cant say that I ever intentionally trolled anyone but I can tell you that I did get to the point that whatever you said was best for anything, I just agreed with you (unless it was life or injury threatening). It got really old arguing with people.I think sometimes they are just so tired of dealing with the average customer that they gotta troll one every once in a while
Love this! When I was pretty young, I had an old buck gunsmith tell me about a "1 ragged hole" 10 shot group he shot at 500 yards when he was my age.
He said he couldn't believe how good he was shooting. Then He pointed to the target and said look right there. I framed it because it was such a great group. I was young and very proud of myself.
I said ya.... a 10 shot group like that at 500 yards is better than I can shoot at 100 yards.
He said, "I was so proud of myself, when I got back to the bench, I picked my rifle up to give it a kiss and my scope fell off and landed on the ground at my feet......So don't believe everything you hear son because I don't know where the other 9 bullets went that day....."
I always remember that story. lol
No cash commission for SW employees, but sig does give them “points” for selling their stuff. You can then redeem “points” for free guns. You can always tell what companies are running points because they schill extra hard on those items.Had the itch for a new carry piece and settled on the Glock 43X MOS. (pre cut for a red dot). Been using the local sportsman warehouse for the stock and ok pricing. Big thing is we have no state tax on firearms or ammo in West Virginia.
They have a seriously like new 43x for sale, plus a new model. I'm going to have to "detactical" the used one as the previous owner had to be a Navy SEAL or Army Ranger. Mag well nonsense and all the mags are "extended for war!" Thankfully all the OEM pieces are in the box.
Anyway, the counter bro proceeds to tell me what a POS glock is and I need to buy a sig. Which is obviously more money. SW counter guys get commission? I ask to see a Sig P365, and hes about drooling telling me about grip angles, customer service, how good I look holding the Sig (seriously). I tell him I'm buying that used 43. "Aw man your making a mistake, Sig is the best!!"
Broke his heart when I told him this glock is replacing a P365 I already own.
The P365 I just never cared for. And sig has so many P365 models now. Should have got a P320.
I'm with the counter guy. Four 365s in the household. 43 went down the road.Had the itch for a new carry piece and settled on the Glock 43X MOS. (pre cut for a red dot). I get it, sig is probably a better built gun. I have small hands, minute I held that 43 it just fit better.I'm with the counter guy. Four 365s in the household. 43 went down the road.
