Favorite Podcast Episode

The two meat tree episodes of meat eater are a fun listen.

Otherwise, hardcore history by Dan Carlin is spectacular. Blueprint for Armageddon is my favorite but they are all amazing.

Blueprint for Armageddon had me driving down the road on a long trip with my jaw literally dropped. Crazy. Supernova in the East was also wild. Really put the decision to drop the atomic bomb in perspective.

Andy Stumph Cleared hot is probably most listened to.

Recently he had John Shipley on..an FBI agent involved with Fast and Furious.
Rob ONeil
John Dudley
Greg Anderson
Rich Hy
Nelson Grant

Jocko when he had Michael Monsoor's father on..actually this might not be a good one for a plane ride. Everyone will wonder why you're crying.

Mike Rowe has some great ones

John Stryker Meyer on Jocko.

Episode 180,181 and 182.

Dick Thompson on Jocko.

Episode 204, 205.

If you are into military, war, combat stuff and havent listened to this I would.

IMO these are the greatest podcasts ever recorded.

100% I downloaded 181-183 and listen to them at night when I solo backpack hunt. I’ve listened to all of the JSM interviews dozens of times. Absolute legend.

Meateater Ep 227 Red Cutter is an exceptional episode. And then 858 hot dog episode was equally informing (and pretty entertaining). If you have 6 plus hours to kill on a flight, and more so want to just be entertained rather than absorb good info, the Meateater radio live finale extravaganza is pretty goofy but fun.

Rogan and Yeonmi Park (episode 1691) is good for keeping life in perspective. Amazing story of perseverance.

I liked Shawn Ryan with Roger Reaves (episode 38). He's a likable guy who went from poor American kid to infamous international drug smuggler.

maybe a book on tape too. Jack Carr "The Terminal List", 12 hours long.

reading through others comments there was one about meat eater and poaching and reminded me of the story of Charles Beatty "The Prince of Poachers". There are a couple of podcast or youtube video interviewing him

The first episode of Rogan with John Reeves from Boneyard Alaska. Episode 1918. I’m not sure how much of his story is bullshit but I really don’t care because it’s a wild life story and Ice Age mammal bones are badass. Fascinating stuff

Not hunting/outdoors related but I really enjoy the sammy the bull gravano podcast.
Even though a lot of it is geared to making him sound like gods gift to the Mafia in his pre rat days, some of the old stories about the guys we've all heard of and many that we haven't are very interesting.

I also like the vortex nation podcast, that ryan guy knows so much history about different rifle manufacturers and cartridges etc, plus their 300wsm/super wsm episodes.

S Town was good for a non hunting podcast. It’s a great story/production

As much as I hate to champion meateater, the blood trails series has been pretty interesting.

History That Doesn’t Suck has been good if you’re into American history
