Congrats! Do you recommend that shotgun for a kid that size? My son will be coming up on 8yr old and he wants to bird hunt very badly. I currently do not own anything that would work for him. My single shot 20 is too heavy.

I would recommend it, but they are discontinued so you’d have to find a used one. Make sure the “light load” piston is installed if you’re going to shoot light game loads or it won’t cycle. It barely cycles with 1500fps 2.75’s using the heavy load piston.
It fits perfectly with 12.5” LOP and just over 5lb with a 22” barrel.
