"DADDY"
My exped has been pretty solid.
I do have a costco. I will go check them out. I do appreciate all the info. Thanks manIf you have a Costco near by look on the website or maybe in store they sell the klymit pads and I’m sure you know they have a great return policy so if you don’t like it you can take it back. Definitely go with a pillow worth there weight in gold but test them all out from air, foam, and down and see what kind you’ve liked the best. I tried 4 different ones before I made a decision.
I’ve had a ton of air pads, Neoair xtherm, trekker, big Agnes axl, closed cell pads, etc. currently have a regular wide Nemo tensor. I spin around all over when I sleep. I have had similar issues as you with going numb and also back and shoulder pain sometimes that can wake me up about every 30-60min. Well during this whole lockdown I camped with my kid in the backyard and used my wife’s 2.5” kelty selfinflating pad that had air and foam in it and slept so well! I think with the air support combined with being able to sink into the foam a bit makes it almost feel like my foam mattress at home (not sure though). I ordered a Therm-a-Rest Prolite apex which is a 2” backpacking self inflating pad and will be trying that out once it comes in the mail. Not sure if it will produce the same results but if it does I will gladly take the extra size and 6oz weight penalty. More to come once it gets here.
It was just ok. Best setup that I currently use is the nemo tensor reg/wide and With a short nemo switchback pad underneath. A little bit extra weight but way more comfortable than any other setup so far.How did the Prolite Apex work for you?
Have the prolite air as well and don’t love it. The Klymit insulated static V inflated toIt was just ok. Best setup that I currently use is the nemo tensor reg/wide and With a short nemo switchback pad underneath. A little bit extra weight but way more comfortable than any other setup so far.
But why?
