The BEST pad for side sleeping???

I had a Big Agnes Bounday Deluxe, Exped Megamat 10, and Thermarest Mondoking all on my living room floor before this season started. (Along with a pile of others I already had)

I kept the Thermarest. You'd be nitpicking between the Exped and Thermarest and everything else feels like an air mattress in comparison. I toss and turn like crazy and never came off the 30" wide pad. Very comfortable.

I brought an exped megamat on my moose hunt this year - basically brand new and found a hole in it on day one. Could not get a patch to hold (used the exped patch kit it would slowly deflate). Even tried gorilla tape and could not get it to hold air. Basically slept without a pad for 10 nights.

My personal favorite is the Big Agnes Boundary Deluxe. Full time side sleeper and I still take mid-day home office naps on this thing several times a week.

I have the older big Agnes Qcore SLX long wide. It's been awesome. I'm 6' 6" and 225lbs and a side sleeper.

I go with thermarest topo luxe, slightly under inflated. I only have experience with that and a klymit static v. The thermarest beats the klymit in every way and doesn't leave me restlessly tossing and turning all night.
What I wouldn't give to be a guy who can lie flat on his back and sleep well...

Can folks chime in on how loud their pad of choice is? I've only used a thermarest xtherm and wouldn't describe it as quiet.

I've briefly tried a tensor all-season, xtherm nxt, etherlite xt insulated, and rapide sl insulated, all in wide or wide/long. The etherlite seemed the most comfortable side sleeping, but maybe less warm than similar rated pads. I'd put rapide second, but I don't think the larger side baffles are insulated and that can be noticeable.
thanks for the info. I think I am going to try the rapide, I only ever sleep on my side mostly.

I use an X-therm and I am a side sleeper. Is it the best? It is the only one I have used and I have never found a reason to change.

My Nemo pad has been good for side and belly sleeping. No holes after probably 90 nights but I put tyvek under it religiously. Pretty light and small. Sorry can’t remember the model.

I'm basically always a side sleeper. I'm still stuck on self-inflating pads. I wish I could get comfortable on the xtherm, exped, etc., but they all make me feel like I'm laying on a balloon. I sleep pretty well on my 1.5 inch prolite plus. With a ccf pad underneath, I can sleep really well. The only real downside to me is that the warmth to weight ratio with self-inflatables is low. I'd like to try the Sea to Summit air pads - our car camping pads are S2S "Camp Plus" pads that are 3 inches thick and very comfortable.
