I have a Colorado second season tag and I’m trying to decide if bringing my side by side on a 20 hr trip is worth it or not. This will be my first time in 22 so I’m not familiar with the road/ trail systems. Also aware of the fire, and just hoping it leaves me something to hunt. Thanks!

SxS are only allowed on designated OHV roads and require an OHV permit from Colorado. Forest Service roads are not necessarily OHV approved. Wardens will issue tickets. It's $100.

My friend brought out his CanAm Defender from TN that has a valid TN license plate and insurance so it can be driven on all roads. That's how we found out

I hunted a unit south of there last year on the 3rd season and had no issues with my truck navigating some pretty remote 2 tracks. I think it really depends on the weather and the Truck you have.

I got a half ton Chevy that I’ll be driving out. We upgraded to the crew model to fit all the whole family for around home. Looks like it’s a little too long for my 10 ft trailer. So now I’m in the market for a trailer I guess? It does have an enclosed cab with heat which seems like it would be really handy to have

Yeah I think you’ll be saving some ball joint wear on your rig at the expense of a new trailer and 10mpg. Toys are cool though! Bring it

I hate hauling mine but I do it every year and rarely even turn the thing on while I’m there.

But that one damn time I don’t have it….
