Should I let a gunsmith run a reamer in my almost new Tikka?

…the rifle shoots lights out.

If I had just unboxed a mail order bride that was easy to get along with and really good looking, just a little short, and could be exchanged for one of the sisters that I’ve never met or seen, one of which is just the right height and one is too tall, with no guarantee either will be the same width, as easy to get along with, or as good looking, and I have to trust the guy with the tape measure to use good judgement to get it right. . .

I’m too risk adverse to chance it. 🙂

I dont know about your gunsmith but if your going to poke a reamer up its bum and you handload you might as well ream it out to 284win and gain the extra horsepower

I already have xtra horsepower … My other Tikka is a T3x in 30-06. It’s what I go for when I’m looking for a sore shoulder at the end of the day or I gotta kill a horse or mastodon. The 7-08 is a sweetie in the recoil dept, and my hunting range is 400 yds max, so I’m just gonna stick with it and 150 g pills. 💊😀😀

I looked it up and it’s about 13 versus 17 foot pounds between the two rounds with a 150 grain bullet. The 30-06 with a 165 grain bullet at 2900 FPS is about 20.

Thanks to everyone who contributed your valuable experience. It’s one of the main things I love about Rokslide. Also, the memes, and the goofy ass threads about stupid stuff!

Hope it works out like it should. I wonder if his +0.001 is the same scotch tape as mine? I'd bet it is.
