What fixed BH are you going to go back to?Ti Hybrid 1.5 was dissappointing on a medium sized bull elk last week. Entrance looked good - 2" slash in the crease, no shoulder contact. Exit was much smaller. Must have center punched a rib. It appeared that the expandables broke and only the smaller bleeders made it thru. 30 yd shot. Full penetration, double lung, but did not fully pass thru. Blood trail was not very good. Bull ran 250 yds and bedded in some thick cover. Found half the arrow with blood to the fletching. The spot where he died was steep and thick. Couldn't examine the wound very well. We were really happy to find him after a sleepless night, but will probably reserve that head for smaller game in the future.

It's a mech with a crappy tip....I was unimpressed with penetration.

There are much better options if wanting to use a rear deploying head. G5 T2 for example. I personally think that pivoting blade heads, like the sevr should be outlawed. You will never get a consistent wound channel.
Had the same thing happen with a rage, hit a rib and deflected down out through the chest never entering the ribcage. One of the weirder things I've seenAgree is with this!
I had the most severe and unexplainable deflection in my bowhunting career (over 100 animals) with a SEVR. Shot a whitetail doe perfectly broadside at 12 ish yards from about 18 feet in the tree. Squared up a rib and the arrow turned darn near 90 degrees, exiting the lower sternum on the on side of the doe. At the shot, I had no idea this happened. She took a couple hops behind a big holly tree. I assumed she died right there. 20 minutes later, she walks out with a perfectly placed hole in her onside ribs. I sent another arrow, hitting the same entrance. She went 35ish yards and piled up that time. The only thing that I can think caused that severe deflection was the pivoting blade design. That was the last critter I shot with a SEVR.

Which 3 blade,? Vented or regular?I don't shoot mechanicals. I use VPA 3 Blade 125 gr solids.
The report I gave was on my buddy's bull from this year. He is going back to Iron Will.
