Seems crazy to replace $1k scope with $500. But I need to remove doubt too, one way or other
Don’t let that bother you. Most of us have been duped into buying a Leupold. Sell the Leupold locally and you’ll recoup most of the cash.

One of the best scopes on the market is the 6x SWFA, which can be had for $220. Price isn’t everything.

I am starting to believe about bad tracking Leupold.

When I had to make big jumps setting up scopes I would do it by 1/2 the amount.

Hope next week will find out

I do like to buy American. I got family that works there I found out too

I have shot all deer but one with Leupold, that were with scopes.

Pretty much everyone I know uses them.

I have 2 1" with lead sleds and 25lb weights. Now wondering about damage

I quit doing 100 yard zeroes and have been doing 50. Either it's fine for that, or I am fine for that.

My hunting is 20-50 yards, I got one spot I cleared that I can see 100. I really don't like it. I like being close.

30 yards is probably typical deer hunting around here. Bear was 31

Unfortunately, they track like Stevie Wonder....
I did like idea of being able to dial up. But more for amusement

I bought a practice scope with non locking turrets. I don't like that. Going to put tape over them cause I am an idiot. Record clicks

I understand close, and I prefer hunting that way too. But bump it out to a 100yrd zero for that elk hunt.

You don’t need a scope at all for 50 yards.

But for your western hunt, a Trij will be great.

Leupold is a US-based company, but I think all their manufacturing is overseas so it’s a moot point.

The glass is manufactured in eastern Europe.

I sure like a scope in low light. And I like to make accurate adjustments for bullet. You hunt your way.

I am going to raise it a couple inches. Planning on doing some 200 yard shooting still this year

Half my rifles don't have sights. So at 20 yards I like a scope

Depending on your scope height, a 50 yard zero is also zero pretty close to somewhere around 200 yards. One of my rifles I just sighted in a 200 yard zero is also zero at 44 yards due to the arch.

At that range, the 300 wm should scare them to death.
That is why I have the muzzle break put the fear of God into them, drop and repent.

The leaves and snow blowing is quite the sight

As for my scope I like 4 power. Even at close range I find it works for me.

I have considered doing my fine tuning at 50 yards, and just practice sticks and such at longer distances.

I quit practicing at 100 yards once I got my load development done.
